The stay was absolutely beautiful! It was a perfect blend of nature and society, as we were in gorgeous, vibrant forestry but also had some fellow hikers here and there. The small town (Erwin) nearby was also a nice balance as it wasn’t overcrowded or heavily touristy.
The creek outside and down the hill was soothing, and energetic at the same time. The living quarters were warmhearted, well-equipped and very comfortable. We felt like we were at home inside the cabin and out in the pavilion, even being a couple hundred miles away from where we came.
Chuck greeted us when we arrived with smiles, great history/ background of the area/the property, and helpful recommendations. We met Valda the following morning on our way to the first destination (Lamar Alexander State Park) with smiles, warmth and a great welcome. If we needed anything, we knew we could ask with ease. Over the three days we were there, we had nothing but amazing views and experiences. We would definitely recommend Valda and Chuck’s hospitality and their beautiful property. The surrounding areas were breathtaking and provided a good range of options for nature-lovers. They have a special spot here to share with those looking for a hideaway to relax in or to excite any of the senses. It is definitely a world of its own!
