The pictures are deceiving. The everything in the room was old and shabby. The bathroom door was falling off the track. We couldn’t open or close it. The air conditioner rattled, clanged, and hissed all night. Neither one of us had a good night sleep. It was a place to stay for the night but lesson learned. Not again.

Minutes from the Cruise Terminal and Airport!
This was a dated hotel in the style of many fort Lauderdale hotels from days gone by, but don't let that scare you away. The rooms have been renovated and they are clean and crisp. The bathrooms are large. There is a good sports bar attached (Marina 84). Come on in during a PENN State game or an Eagles Game and you will see a bunch of ex-college and ex-NFL players cheering on their alma matters. The service the hotel offers with shuttles to/and from the airport are golden. If you missed any of the Late Night Comedians on the late shows, no worries you will have your fill of bad jokes, good jokes and dad jokes with the shuttle crew getting you on and off board!

The hotel shuttle service from the cruise port did not pick us up on its first attempt just left us there. After more than an hour standing on our feet at the shuttle stop we asked other shuttle operators to drop us at the hotel and paid them. Not using this hotel again.

Please read this whole review. I will provide a general description of the property in a moment. But first, a backstory. We stayed at this hotel because we evacuated our home for a Hurricane. Given our circumstances, were were extremely satisfied with this hotel. One of the main reasons that we (along with many other evacuees) chose this hotel is because they are pet friendly. During our stay, we spoke with a member of the management team and they said that normally, the hotel only offers a limited set of rooms as pet friendly. However, when many evacuees began arriving with pets, management lifted the limitation and allowed pets in as many rooms as needed to accommodate them all. We, and I'm sure all of the others, are eternally grateful to them for their kindness and understanding of our circumstances. Now, the hotel. This is not a place that I would recommend for someone looking to spend a week's vacation in Ft. Lauderdale. It is an older motel that's been nicely upgraded; but it's primary function is to provide rooms for people who are going on or returning from one of the cruise ships that home port in Port Everglades. It's perfect for a one-night stop-over. They have a bar/restaurant on-site, as well as a sundries/gift shop. They also have stay-and-park options (large parking lot and shuttles) and day-rental rooms for post-cruise folks to wait if their plane leaves later in the afternoon. Overall, the perfect launch or landing place for cruise passengers!
