Wintry Retreat
Had a wonderful time at this property over President's Day weekend. It was cozy and well-appointed, and the view is amazing, even if it was mostly a snowy frozen lake! We got a nice sunset the last evening. We were provided many amenities like coffee and some snacks, and we had what we needed in the kitchen to make yummy meals. The beds and pillows were great, and the bathrooms were nice. The ice maker line might have been frozen, but there were ice cube trays and it was fine. Having the big brita dispenser in the refrigerator was perfect, too.Thanks for having us!

Our family gathered in this lovely home. It is the best VBRO that we have stayed in! The place was clean and fully stocked with such great things. It felt like we were staying with relatives rather than in a rental home. The kitchen has all of the pots, pans, silverware, plates, spices, coffee, and snacks that you could want. And the bathrooms have all the things that you might forget.And so many activities to do. It was winter time so we could not take advantage of the kayaks on the lake. But the jigsaw puzzles and the games that were available really helped us during our times of being in the house.

An absolutely perfect lakeside setting!
We truly enjoyed our five night stay at this Chain O'Lakes jewel. Everything was perfect, from the well-appointed kitchen to the corn hole pitch and the lovely outdoor living room complete with net curtains to keep the bugs at bay. There were so many little extra touches that made the stay even more memorable. Plus we had a blast puttering around in the TriToon. Five stars all the way!

Family Vacation
The property was in very good shape and very well equipped. As advertised, right on the lake and in the center of Fox Lake recreation region. Stores and dining within short drive or walk. Nearby public park that features summer Friday concert series. We had a great time evenings by the fire pit, picking dinner options, taking a boat out for a day. We had 6 adults total for most of the 10 days we were there, and didn't feel crowded. Easy parking right outside for 3 cars, a 4th would fit too. Kitchen is well equipped you shouldn't need to bring anything, outdoor gas grill. Beach towels, some outdoor toys, kayaks, outdoor and indoor board games. We brought our own firewood, but there was some there. Nice outdoor porch sitting and dining area. For locals, the Chicago Metra train stop is 1/2 mile away, it made getting all of us there easier.

Our family of eight recently enjoyed the perfect getaway at a stunning lake house, and it was an experience we will cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty and charm of the house and its surroundings. The house itself was nothing short of amazing. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed, it quickly felt like a home away from home. The deck was a favorite spot for all of us, providing a serene setting to relax, enjoy meals, and take in the breathtaking views of the lake. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible sunsets. Each evening, we gathered on the deck to watch the sky transform into a masterpiece of colors, reflecting off the calm waters of the lake. It was a magical experience that brought us all closer together. The fire pit was another fantastic feature. We spent our nights gathered around the fire, roasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and simply enjoying each other's company. It was the perfect way to end each day, with the warmth of the fire and the peaceful sounds of nature surrounding us. On Friday night, we ventured to the nearby park and were delighted to find a band playing live music. It was a wonderful surprise that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip. 2024 Sibling Trip
My siblings and our spouses enjoyed a fabulous week at Kirk & Laura's fantastic home. The house is well stocked with everything, the Welcome Book provides excellent and thorough information to ensure our stay was perfect, check in and check out couldn't have been easier, loved being able to rent their pontoon boat, really appreciated the 2 kayaks, and lawn games. The location is excellent with stunning views and great living spaces (in and out) for the whole group. Highly recommend this property!

Property is better than described in listing - there is nothing that needs to be added or improved. It’s a perfect location on the lake and close to many restaurants and bars. Perfect Getaway House!
This is a perfect getaway house in an ideal spot on Fox Lake. Right on the water with gorgeous views in all directions. Great deck and yard with anything you'd need to maximize your fun and comfort. Lots of parking. The house itself is so cozy and comfortable, clean and updated. Really great use of the space and every amenity has been provided, and then some. Super nice hosts with great communication. If you're considering houses on the Chain of Lakes, I don't think you'll do better than this one and we can't wait to return!

Perfect Lakefront House.
We had a phenomenal stay at Kirk & Laura's lake house with our family of four (and dog). The hosts are very responsive and wonderful communicators. Everything is updated, comfortable and super organized. The hosts have definitely put thought into providing whatever you could need (& then some) to make your stay easy. There was a welcome basket with assorted snacks, which our kids LOVED. Not sure why but someone else's snacks always taste better. We took advantage of renting the boat and exploring the lake, which was super fun. Appreciated the cabana on the porch where I could have shade while enjoying the view. Lots of places to walk to within a half mile. We walked to El Puerto restaurant, the Tuesday Farmer's Market and downtown Fox Lake. There is also a long stretch of bike/walking trail that starts in the downtown area that we used often during our stay. We also enjoyed the kayaks in the morning when the water was calm. The kids also got a kick out of the huge family friendly DVD collection. You must bring your water shoes if you want to go into the lake by the house since there are rocks and some glass. We loved everything about this trip and this lake home. Hope to return next year.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at your lovely lake house! From the moment we walked in we felt pampered and relaxed. The welcome basket was so thoughful and such a nice surprise! You provided us with absolutely everything we would need and we felt right at home. We loved the way it was decorated and enjoyed the comfy beds and all the special touches. Wonderful Home on the Lake
Our Family had a wonderful time on Nippersink Lake at this beautiful home. There was a lot to do at the home itself and in the town close by. The Sunsets every night were AMAZING! We planned our day around being back to the house- they were not to be missed.We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the wonderful shade the gazebo provided during the day. Having the boat rental option was a definite plus. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We truly loved staying there.
