It was not horrible, but we felt our stay was definitely 2 star. The reasons:
1. Whoever did the photos and staging for the website is brilliant. It was made to look much better than what it is.
2. The bunk bedroom is really only useable for young kids. We were going to use for our teenage daughters, but it was just too small.
3. The stairs are very steep. Two of our family members are over 80, making that a challenge. So, if you have similar issues, know that only the downstairs bedroom would work.
4. There were some dirty areas. As example, a shelf with coffee cups was very dusty. That along with bad water led to us going to get coffee every day instead of using the machine.
5. The main issue was horrible smelling water. The home is a couple of miles out of town. Therefore, I assume this might be on well water. You could see bad rust stains in the sinks/showers. On day one, the smell was awful, like bad eggs, and only improved slightly with use. It was so bad that we used bottled water to brush our teeth.
6. I am only 5' 7" and the shower spouts are shorter than me. Therefore, water sort of flowed at you, not over. Also, the ceiling space in the showers is very small. Anyone over that height would have to shower slightly bent over.
We should also mention the positives. It did have a quant feeling, especially if you have ever spent any time in an early 1900s style farm home. The property manager also communicated well.
