Wherever you go, there you are.
Let's start with the good - staff are attentive to issues when raised, and there is potential for meeting good people if you are a solo traveller and looking for mostly like-minded people. Siargao in general has a certain vibe, and this place encompasses it well.
That said, it's FAR from perfect (even for the private rooms) and the price is reflective of that. The AC is loud, and the bed netting often had to be reset. The island in general suffers from a number of recurring issues, including issues with electrical reliability, pests, frequent rain and high humidity and the hostel (which has a generator on-site) handles these issues as best they can under the circumstances.
If I was looking for company and value, I think this would be the place.
