Very run down hotel that is in desperate need of refurbishment. Outwith that, wasn’t very clean, muscy smell and couldn’t swing a cat in the rooms

Best thing about this hotel is the staff who were friendly, efficient and bent over backwards to make the stay pleasurable. My bathroom needed a general make over but overall the bedroom was fine, the bed comfortable and the temperature ideal

A very nice stay. Staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a little small. However, it is a city hotel and everything you need was in the room. The breakfast was great. All fresh and lovely laid out. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We never ate any other meals at the hotel but others said it was nice. It is right in the centre but I heard no noise at all. Very convenient for the shops and the railway stations.

Mercure Hotel, Glasgow City centre.

Great experience at the Mercure in Glasgow. A very short walk from Queen Street Station. Check-In was very fast and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we’d made other arrangements, but it did look lovely with lots of choices. In the room there was plenty of beverages as well as a very nice little packet of biscuits x 2. Only small complaint would have been the room was too hot, but the window opened enough to get some ventilation. Linen and towels were immaculate. Great shower and plenty of lovely shampoo and shower gel provided. Glad to see a decent, clean shower mat. Perhaps the paintwork in bath too was a bit tired. Overall we were very pleased with everything. Looking forward to our next trip. Good value for money.

Good hotel

. The person on duty at night was a bit grumpy but all other staff were excellent and very helpful. Bed was clean and comfy. Breakfast was lovely and there was lots of choice. Eggs were cooked to order and nothing was too much bother. I would definitely stay here again.
