"Das Taj Mahal Hotel ist einfach nur phantastisch. Der Service und das Bemühen des Personals um das Wohl des Gastes ist großartig. Die Zimmer und das Hotels insgesamt sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten von unserem Zimmer einen tollen Blick aufs Meer und das Gateway of India. Das Bauwerk wird zur Zeit saniert und ist durch einen Bauzaun abgesperrt. Unmittelbar daneben sind Bootsanlegestellen von denen Ausflüge gestartet werden können. "

"Insgesamt sehr gutes Hotel direkt am Gateway. Zimmer mit Blick dorthin sehr empfehlenswert. Alle Einrichtungen des Taj Mahal Palace können mitbenutzt werden (Fitness, Pool). Zimmer ausreichend groß und sehr gut klimatisiert. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Wir waren mehrfach im Restaurant Souk essen und davon begeistert. Einzige negative Erfahrung im Hotel war das Restaurant Loya, welches sehr beworben wird. Unsere Online-Reservierung wäre nicht angekommen (trotz Bestätigungs-Mail) und wir wurden an die Bar gesetzt. Eine Speisekarte gab es erst nach mehrfacher Nachfrage. Wir haben dann nachgefragt, warum wir unbequem an der Bar sitzen müssen, wo doch zahlreiche Tische frei sind, aber wir sollten trotzdem an der Bar sitzen bleiben. Wir sind daraufhin gegangen und haben das Abendessen wieder im Restaurant Souk eingenommen. Insgesamt war es jedoch ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt und wir würden das Hotel weiter empfehlen. "

"Especially the staff makes this hotel unique. The employees are very kind and such helpful guys. Each of them is friendly but also open for a little chat. Unfortunately our first room was smelling really badly, but the receptionist reacted perfectly and gave us directly a new room which was without any problems. We tried two of the three restaurants as well as the in-house bar. The Thai restaurant was absolutely fantastic and so was the Konan Cafe (Indian restaurant). Another highlight was the continental but especially the Indian breakfast. This was one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve ever had. All of the waitresses and waiters were very professional and such nice people, thanks to all of them! Bach tho the Hotel: outside it’s not the prettiest but it completely changes when you walk in. The lobby area is such a lovely place and it even smells lovely. Our final room was quite comfortable and clean. At the moment there is some construction work infront of the building (new metro directliy to the airport which will be a real game changer!) the noise is not really noticeable. Not because of the good isolation of the building but because of all the other noises of Mumbai. The SPA and pool area is a little bit dated in comparison of the other public areas but an old pool is much better than no pool in Mumbai. So that would be my only complains I guess. Overall we loved our stay so much that we decided to book another IHCL hotel at our next destination in Munnar."
