We booked our stay about a month ago. I even had communicated with the owner via text concerning questions about our stay. Our entire family was heading to the property on a 3+ hour road trip. My daughter who is in college at ECU stopped by the property to open it up and bring in groceries. Much to our dismay she discovered another family was staying at the place. We were about 2 hours into our journey when we discovered that the property was double booked and my family had no place to stay. Unfortunately, the Greenville area had very little if any places to stay. The few places available in Greenville were hotels that had jacked up prices that were double or triple the normal rates and only smoking rooms were available. The nearest places we could find were 45 minutes to 1 hr away. My daughter, who was traveling with us with my grandkids and her husband had to turn around and head back home. I have never had this happen and I will make sure it never happens again. My entire family was disappointed. Frankly, I am very disappointed with the owner/management company because this should never have happened in the first place. Even though the property owner was somewhat helpful trying to help us find lodging, we were out time and money in wasted gas, groceries and money spent on more expensive lodging and restaurant bills that were entirely unexpected. And as of yet, I have not seen a refund of the money I shelled out for the place.
