The Lord Nelson in Halifax, NS is an excellent hotel. Beautiful, classic decor reminiscent of the art deco period. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel. Oh. And I forgot. Excellent location!! And very, very clean….

I travel a lot & most hotels are cut & paste. I loved the historic cozy feel of it and the staff were 6 stars easily . The only 2 negs were : cost of parking is ridiculous $23/ day& all 4 pillows were firm and large. There was no selection for those that like softer smaller pillows . Location is quite good. I would stay there again but might bring my own pillow . Hope they reduce the cost of parking for hotel guests

Renovating?

One of the elevators were broken and it too forever to get to the room. The pillows were oddly uncomfortable, and someone was walking back and forth above us. They need to ask guests to take off shoes or hotel should put more rugs down. The hotel has the potential for being excellent. Are they renovating?
