Well located for the main station and cheap for central Hamburg, but with that clearly come some drawbacks. The hotel is accessed by a fairly steep staircase. And although there are sink and shower in each room the toilet is shared - partly my fault for misreading the property details when I booked, not to have spotted that. But my room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and overall it met my needs

Location is great in terms of food, shopping and transport. Lots of greasy folks wandering the street, yelling and screaming all hours of the night. Didnt feel safe after dark, dirty and lots of graffiti.

Terrible experience!
I booking one night for one person. When I arrived there, and found there is no elevator to the third floor, jut by on very steep stairs reaching the office. And the room is no toilet, every floor has shared toilet, this was not what they put on the web, ( if you are the toilet or washroom sharing, you should write very clearly, right? Terrible experience.

The staff was really helpful. However, noise could be heard from the street throughout the night. Also, there is no elevator, so be aware that you will have to drag your luggage up multiple flights of stairs to get to your room.

I loved how easy it was to get to from the train station! It was a quick walk from the central station. The part of town was a little unsettling at night but I never felt unsafe. I think if you are use to a surburban safe setting you would have thought the part of town was very scary. The over all amenities were great a shower and sink right in the room and a shared toliet not that far from the room. There was only heating. Around 3 or so in the morning there was a lot of drunk people yelling. With this said it was a good price for what I got.

Room stank like someone pissed in the shower. Shared toilet and stinks all over the corridor. The local area is a beehive of drugs and staff looked like they were forced to work there

Single World Explorer
The hotel is very central to everything, including to Hamburg Central Station. The place is clean. Private room, private shower, shared toilette. Staff was friendly. However, check in is a bit strict. Front Desk has to let you into the building. Then you attain keys to your room from front desk. You need to leave keys to front desk when leave the building. It's just a bit of a hassle and makes it inconvenient to have guest visits.

The room had a slightly weird smell when you walked in. The hotel is very unique and at first may seem quite odd. However, the staff is incredibly friendly and we felt safe the entire time. The room and common areas were kept very clean. Overall, would recommend this place for a cheap stay in Hamburg!

I do NOT recommend!!! Bad hotel and area
I would not recommend this place at all..... It is in the worst part of the city.... A very dangours street filled with hookers and drug dealers. Also I all my years of travel I have never met a more rude lady at the deck.... Must be a owner because anyone else they would have fired her....

Street noise from the bar opposite kept us awake until 03:00. Even with windows shut. No air conditioner so we boiled. Steep stairs to Reception. No lift. Toilets shared and in corridor Don’t bother. Better available

Hamburg stay
Hotel close to main train station and underground good for exploring Hamburg and the local area. Lots of steps so may not be suitable for those with mobility problems. Comfortable and clean with a shared shower room. We found the area was quite noisy during the early hours of the morning.
