Adorable little place in Central Hana. Owner was very good with communication. No real kitchen, but refrigerator, coffee maker, and enough utensils to get by. Grocery store, food trucks, and restaurants close by.
Staying here was a pleasure - from the ease of the check in process, to the cleanliness of the room, amenities and location, we're so glad we chose this home!
The room had been beautifully re-done. Everything was very clean and the property was peaceful. The bathroom was stunning and lots of natural light poured in through the windows. The breeze was perfect. I rated 4 instead of 5 because we were in the bottom apartment that butted upto the roof for the washer and dryer. The roof is tin. It poured every night. It was very loud. We had to close the window above the bed for the noise and also because it rained in due to the angle. The listing doesn't say there is an A/C unit, I had just assumed there would be, that's my fault. But really one wasn't needed, unless to dampen that noise. The only other small thing is there weren't any dressers or a closet to unpack your clothes. I think this is set up more as stop over for travelers on the road to Hana. Which is perfect, but more than one night, I would suggest you rent the upstairs apartment. More room and away from the tin roof. It is a beautiful place though.
My husband and I only stayed for one night, but could have easily stayed longer if our schedule permit! We split our road to Hana and Haleakala-Kipahulu District trip up over two days, making this the perfect place to rest for the night. We loved the secluded nature of the house and listening to the rain through the open windows at night. The bathroom was very clean and updated and we loved sitting on the back porch in the evening.
Great location in Hana easy to get to Black sand beach! Good size, clean room with very comfortable bed. Nice, newwr clean shower with soap, shampoo/conditioner; sunscreen and aloe was also available. Coffee, tea, water and granola bars/biscuit bars. Easy clear check in/check out. I would highly recommend staying.
OK this place can be a little tricky to find in the dark, but the sign and address number lights up well in your headlights. The Google and Waze app are about 100 feet off from the entrance. After that, it was about three blocks back to the place. We parked and got in with no problem. Cozy bed, and great showers and bathroom. And other amenities. We were exhausted after our long journey on the road to Hannah and this was just perfect for a budget to be able to stay in HÄna. The bonus was hearing a nice short hard rain and then all the wonderful birds in the surrounding forest start singing. Very cool experience too wrap up. Day, one on the road to HÄna I would definitely stay here again. As you also are very close to the national park entrance for the black sand beach.
This place was super cute. It was nice having no TV - my partner and I played games all night and it was convenient not having to drive back the same night. It was beautiful and the views from the window were gorgeous!
Was a nice space. In a a quiet area. Remember to download all the directions beforehand. Cell coverage is very spotty in the area. Google maps seems you to the wrong place
Cozy, with ample room for two people, all updated and a welcoming, comfortable bed waiting for us after a day spent hiking the trails and driving the Road to Hana. We enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the lanai and watching the sunrise. Be sure to stay here if you relish peace and quiet!
We really had to pay attention to the directions to find this place - it's tucked back in the trees. It was exactly as described and we only stayed one night. Got in late driving the road to Hana and left early. The host had a couple bottles of water for us and a few snack bars (nice touch). It does not have a/c so the windows were open all night, which we didn't mind but it rained and made for loud sleeping. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Thanks for hosting us!
We didn't want to pressure ourselves to do the entire Road to Hana in one day so opted to stay a night in Hana. The drive into the property was a little rugged, but the house was easy to find. Reception was a bit spotty so we did have to circle a bit to confirm that this was the house. A small place with not too many options to recline except the bed. Spot was clean, the bathroom was nice. There was a refrigerator and microwave, which is more than our resort had. My only issue was it was quite hot even with the ceiling fan and there is no a/c so if you can't live without air conditioning, this might not be for you. Also you can hear the water running from the other tenants but that was generally fine. There's no TV (I didn't mind, but my husband was sad about it haha). Location was close to the food trucks, and we were able to grab early breakfast from the Hyatt resort in town. Would recommend!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely little studio. It was very clean and comfortable for 2 nights.
The rock shower was very impressive. We would stay here again as it was perfect for exploring Hana.
