The property’s outer landscaping and design was nicely done and looked even better with snow on the ground. The inside was spacious with an open concept kitchen and living room area and a separate formal dining area and sitting room. We were wanting for nothing when it came to kitchen appliances, dishes, and utensils. There was plenty of coffee, sugar, and even seasonings. The master bedroom was gigantic, and all bedrooms were nicely decorated and clean. We enjoyed starting fires in the vintage fireplace in the living room and there was an abundant amount of cut firewood in the backyard. My 7-year-old daughter and I loved the hot tub on the deck outside of the screened porch area, especially at night where we could look up at the stars. One morning we saw 4-5 deer just wandering through the backyard. The skiing, tubing, and ice-skating area is less than a 5-minute drive in one direction, while the awesome indoor waterpark, game room, and restaurant are also less than 5 minutes in the other direction. There are grocery stores, gas stations, and shops a few miles from the property. I would recommend also driving about 15 minutes away to see the city of Harrisonburg, which is home to James Madison University and has everything a college-like town can offer from bars, restaurants, a mall, etc. We have already recommended this place to family and friends and will return.
