House and pool were not ready, even after we arrived 50 minutes after check-in time. (Pool algae laden...house dirty)
Property manager could have mitigated stress and crisis “surprise” by simply making an explanatory phone call while we were en-route.
At 20 hours after check-in, the pool was finally ready; proper cleaning was completed at 24 hour delay point.
Some $$ adjustments were made, but deemed insufficient by this party in light of poor management, poor scheduling, poor problem solving and disrespectful, age discriminating dialogue by property manager, Alexandra. This young woman offered unacceptable condescending comments; was argumentative and “talked over” the guest as discussions ensued; and even managed to offer sarcastic “solutions” (not). I am a retired senior military officer (O-6, Colonel)…I understand “customer service” and mission accomplishment. This was NOT the way to deal with a stressed and disenfranchised customer who had been “greatly wronged”. If this was my property, my first “fix” would be to seek a new property manager…immediately!
In sum: First 24 hours were disaster. After that, we were able to relax and enjoy for the most part. We did finally have some fun after the initial day of distress and disappointment. We were left with an 80% vacation (4 out of 5 days).
Note that the property's kitchen is NOT properly equipped for 10 guests, nor is the pool safe due to broken railing and an unstable/broken glass top pool-side table.
Property has great, unrealized potential, but is in need of care/maintenance and needs some additional interior comfortable chairs. It is NOT handicapped accessible.
I will not return nor would I recommend this property without significant changes as outlined above.
