Christmas at Westholme
We were an extended family - grandparents, parents and two young grandkids. The living room upstairs has a beautiful view of the sea in the distance and a lovely large balcony where we ate our breakfsts and enjoyed sundowns.There's no air con upstairs and there were times when it would have been welcome as it was too hot and the birds kept coming into the house through the doors and slatted windows. We stayed in the little cottage. This was nice but felt 'second rate' - dirty patio, curtains stuck, drawers already full, no bedside mats, paucity of hooks ect. The shower didn't work properly - barely a trickle of water - this was finally fixed on day 8 of our 10-day stay. Lots of mosquitoes. The owners should consider adding wire mesh to the slatted windows to the whole property to keep the birds and mosquitoes out while still allowing for airflow. No complimentary shampoo/conditioner provided which would have been appreciated. Marcia was mostly responsive to my requests but she did not reply to my query about check out time (2 days in advance) so we planned our departure according to the VRBO instructions of 12.00 noon check out. However, the cleaners turned up at 10.30 and were expecting us out at 11.00am.This caused an (avoidable) stressful last-minute scramble on our departure day. The location of Westholme is superb. The two pools are beautiful and the Deck restaurant is lovely.We had a fabulous time at Westholme overall and would like to return to this lovely home.

Peaceful, beautiful views and pools, convenient location
This was or seventh trip to Barbados and we all agree it was the best. The house and location were exactly what we were looking for and we would definitely stay again (and hopefully will). We hired a car which made everything very convenient, Holetown and beaches just 5 minutes away and the house offered a wonderful place to relax after a day exploring the island too, everyone had their own space with pretty, mature and lush gardens and we loved it. We didn’t want or need anything, the house has is well equipped. We visited at a quiet time of year so it felt like we had the entire estate to ourselves. Stunning pools too. For us it was perfect!

Fabulous host, fabulous villa, fabulous manager!
Rosie and Marcia were so wonderful and made us feel right at home, they were there to answer any questions we had and made many wonderful suggestions for dinner! The beach club was a real bonus as it is difficult to park at the beaches and there was plenty of parking and beach chairs at the beach club, not to mention the wonderful lunches we had there! I highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning!

New Year 2024 at Westholme
Firstly we absolutely loved Sugar Hill it is a beautifully maintained resort with mature well tended gardens with The Deck at the heart of this community. We had always stayed right on the coast but enjoyed the peaceful vibe of the resort. Westholme is a beautiful property only a 2 min walk to the deck. It is set over 2 floors the bedrooms on the lower floor overlooking the garden and plunge pool. The living area on the 2nd floor to enjoy sea views in the distance. It is extremely well stocked with plenty of towels, and we were even given a welcome pack so we’re fine until we got our delivery. Rosie and Marcia were outstanding with their communication and were there when we needed them following a burst water main on the resort. The only fly in the ointment for us was the sorry state of the furniture on the balcony but have been assured that this is being replaced next month so all good. We didn’t hire a car but will definitely on our next visit as it helps with trips to the supermarket etc. having only stayed in hotels before it wasn’t really on our radar. But reception at the Deck will always call a taxi for you and we never waited too long. Rosie and Marcia were outstanding with their communication and would highly recommend. In fact we are already planning our next visit to Westholme later this year. Thank you Rosie and we look forward to our next visit. Lisa and Michael

Lovely relaxing stay
Had a great time at Westholme. The property is the perfect layout for two couples. Really enjoyed using the two lovely pools at Sugar Hill and The Deck restaurant was brilliant. Great for watching the sunset and plunge pool was great to cool down. The grounds are immaculate. I would say car hire is a must unless you are happy to get taxis everywhere, which in our opinion were expensive e.g. US$30 to Speightstown. Enjoyed lots of trips exploring this beautiful island including Huntes Gardens, Silver Moon catamaran, Mount Gay distillery tour and cocktail making, St Nicholas Abbey, Bathsheba. Also lovely meals at QP Bistro, Lonestar, Paul Owens, Fish Pot - enjoyed them all. Great communication with the owners, would love to return.

Beautiful Condo!!
We really enjoyed our time on Sugar Hill. The complex is beautiful with 2 amazing pools and beautiful views. The condo unit was really spacious and clean. It was nice to have A/C units in the bedrooms to keep cool at night. We needed a car to get to and from the beach but that was easy enough. It would be about a 25-30 min walk down quite a good hill and back up a big hill if we walked this everyday.

Beautiful tropical villa
A beautifully kept, white painted tropical villa with fans everywhere to keep you cool upstairs and downstairs. The Villa provides everything you need with basics kindly provided to last before you are able to go shopping. Gardens all beautifully kept and plunge pool and sun loungers a bonus. Marcia super helpful and in touch to check all is well. Lovely to have the two big pools to use aswell as the restaurant, gym and tennis courts. All of this just a drive up the hill from gorgeous beach, shops and restaurants! To sum it all up ….. perfect!

Perfect small villa with a view
Very conveniently located with ocean view. A wonderful garden with a plunge pool perfect for when you don't want to be at the stunning infinity pool at Sugar Hill or the beach at the Fairmont. All 3 bedrooms are lovely, air conditioned and the whole villa is very easy to run, We were just 3 people but it would be equally comfortable for 6.

Having stayed at Sugar Hill several times it was our first time staying at Westholme and the experience did not let us down. Great location with a fab view you will never tire of. Stunning Villa
We had an amazing time in this beautiful villa and hope to be back next year. I can not fault this property in any way at all. The location is very peaceful with beautiful views overlooking the ocean and the sunsets are stunning. There are two large pools to use on the estate and we had a private pool at the villa. The rooms are really spacious and the villa is equipped with everything you need to a very high standard. The beach club passes are a huge bonus. I would definitely reccomend hiring a car. Perfect stay on the west coast
We have stayed at Sugar Hill a few times, but always in an apartment and this was definitely our best stay ever! Now that our kids are older we wanted a bit more space and it was so nice having the garden and pool too. We felt very much at home and stayed in for dinner nearly every night as the restaurants have got very expensive. The beach club included is the absolute best thing for us - top tip is to go early 9.30 or at lunchtime/2ish as the best sunbeds near the restaurant get full up quickly during school holidays.

Perfect location and house
This was our first overnight stay in Barbados. Sugar Hill is a really perfect location. It’s a quiet residential area but has nice sea views and is a very short drive into town. The amenities at Sugar Hill are really nicely maintained with tennis, playground, gym, huge pool and super convenient restaurant and bar at the pool. The house itself is really well maintained and very well equipped in the kitchen. The plunge pool was a great touch and we used it more than we expected. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful. Use of the beach club was convenient, but it was quite busy - although we travelled on a very busy week on the island. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful villa
Westholme was all we could ever want in a vacation villa. Very well equipped and comfortable. It had everything we needed including lots of games, books, DVDs. The view is amazing, great for sundowners! Very private and quiet. We walked to the beach and enjoyed the Fairmont Beach club. We will definitely return!

Fabulous villa with fabulous view
My family has had 3 fantastic weeks staying at Rosie’s villa in Sugar Hill. The villa was just a described with large bedrooms and open planned dining and living area with the balcony on the first floor giving fabulous views of the west coast and amazing summer sunsets. We loved having the plunge pool and the great addition of the Royal Pavilion Beach club membership on one of the best beaches. Even small things like having lots of beach towels when you have children who are in and out of the pools/ beach makes life so much easier. We also love the Sugar Hill resort which has the tennis courts and large pool to also use. Rosie the owner kept in contact right up to our visit and Marcia the property manager then looked after us on our arrival and during our stay to answer any questions we had. We loved our stay and would recommend Westholme if you are looking for a 2 / 3 bed property and we wouldn’t hesitate to rebook for our next visit.

Perfect Caribbean Holiday
A family of five adults, the villa was perfect for our needs. The villa is large and airy with beautiful views to the sea and sunsets. It is close by the clubhouse, with its beautiful infinity pool and gym. The location is peaceful with cool breezes. The villa is well stocked and there was everything we needed. We had great communication with both the owner and manager who were very helpful. I would highly recommend this property as the perfect Caribbean holiday spot. A car is essential.

Perfect Holiday Home
Everything about this house and its location was wonderful and it was even more pristine than in the photos. Communication with Rosie and Marcia was super efficient and extremely helpful. Even their recommendations for a driver were above and beyond, Omar and Cyprian looked after us amazingly warmly for the whole trip. I would 100% recommend Rosie’s house to anyone looking to spend some time in Barbados.
