First, let me admit my mistake- I forgot to list my dog as attending, which was a surprise to the owner. We worked it out and I paid the pet fee. However…the house needs a lot of TLC. While there are more than enough pillows and towels, all are paper thin. The “fully stocked” kitchen is stocked with pots and pans that are quite old and some without handles. There are no large bowls for serving or mixing. I had to use soup pots to serve salads and popcorn in. Knobs are missing from drawers and cabinets, there are holes in the lanai, allowing bugs in and the lighting in the house is pretty dismal. Lots of lamps but bulbs are pretty weak. We very much enjoyed the decor, the size of the house, the pool and the stove/oven.
Communication with the owner was curt at best. I didn’t hear from her one time until I reached out the day before we got there to understand how I was going to get into the house. I heard from her again the night before we left to ask how everything was and then the day we left to tell me I didn’t pay a pet fee. Again, the pet thing was my mistake and I happily paid the fee, but she was rude and accusatory.
