We stayed 2 nights and this place was amazing. The host was wonderful and very understanding. I recommend everyone book with this host. We drove in from Houston to Baytown and everything was setup and ready for us. The pool and the place was clean and the host was able and ready to communicate with me anytime I needed to contact them.
The host forgot to send us our code prior to check in and it took 45 minutes to get our code upon arrival at the house after our 8 hour drive. We bought 400 worth of groceries and then lost power due to an area outage on day two. This house is roach infested (pictures) so we didnât end up cooking anyway. The pictures of this place are deceiving. There are some updates but this house is old. There were tweakers walking and riding bikes all over the neighborhood (one rode by at 6am as we were loading our car to leave.) We had one dead bolt lock on the front door and no blinds anywhere in the living room which had huge windows. Thankfully I have means to protect myself, my wife, and three kids. The pool was nice.
This rental is nice for a family reconnection. There was plenty for us to do at the property so we didnât have to leave. Although I do think it could use more dishes in the kitchen. The host was very quick and helpful to answer any questions. The neighborhood was fairly quiet and no one bothered us. Thanks for opening up your home for families to reconnect.
Kids loved the pool! House is more outdated than the pictures but overall a good place. The house was clean and comfortable but vents were dusty and old. Air conditioner worked great! Please be aware that you are changed by the person or there will be extra fees! Make sure to put the correct guest amount when booking.Host was easy to contact and answered all the questions.
Cute little home with nice amenities. The grill was not clean upon arrival and the power outlet in master bathroom did not work as well as no remote or working tv in master bedroom. Otherwise, no complaints.
We enjoyed this comfy and very spacious home! The game room was a win. Quiet neighborhood and a quick drive to eat, play âŠ. We will definitely stay again should we be in south Texas!
The house was spotless and roomy. Cute little game room for kids. I loved the fenced in back yard with a beautiful pool. And I felt the neighborhood was a safe area.
I felt watched. I told him that I was unsure of how many people would come and he said, "thats fine, I will just bill you for the extra people." Within a few minutes of my guests arriving he called to ask how many people we had. I couldn't be comfortable for the rest of the stay.
Adolfo was accessible and accommodating re: misunderstanding (allowed early check in) but there were many amenities advertised or pictured that simply were not there/broken or sparse.
-light bulbs burnt out in multiple rooms
-missing light shade on fan
-empty soap dispensers in both baths
-pool was had bugs and debris (I cleaned & left it better than I found it)
-dead roaches in the middle of bedroom floor
-pool slide not functional (no water)
-no outdoor umbrella over chairs as pictured
-multiple electrical outlet plates broken or cracked
-min bedding (thin & no extra blankets/pillows)
-min kitchen utensils & cooking ware (ie, 5 spoons, 1 mixing bowl, no wine glass, very limited pot/pan)
-only 1 roll of paper towels and 3 rolls of toilet paper
-no laundry detergent
-no potholders & only 1 kitchen towel
-some walls & doors were dirty &/or missing paint
-BBQ was filthy and unusable
-no instructions on site for use of basic equipment (were sent later when requested)
-floor cracked/broken in main hall/living room
-all small rugs were stained/very dirty
-pocket door in front bath needs to be adjusted/repaired
-floor of master shower cracked
-dead battery on door lock preventing entry
The home overall is charming & spacious, but needs some minor repairs to be comfortable. The neighborhood (my hometown) is nice enough/typical Baytown, though neighbors had cars so loud it shook the house.
Overall, the property and communications need to be improved to ensure a quality stay.
I loved the house, location and amenities. It is far away enough from the Houston traffic, but close enough to go to downtown Houston. I just have a couple of complaints. The pool guy came and we had to get out and could not go in for hours due to the treatment. There was not a TV in the bunkbed room which was a problem for my son because he wanted something to watch while he laid down. Aside from that, the owner Adolfo, was professional, attentive and amazing. He responded quickly every time and made sure to provide towels, snacks, coffee and more. He also offered tp extend our stay due to the pool situation. Despite these things, I would definitely come back. My kids did not want to leave!
Clean house. Great host. Awesome pool! Loved all that was included. From plates to napkins to towels and some snacks when we checked in. Definitely would recommend if youâre looking to stay near the Houston area. Only about a 25 min drive to the zoo, museum, aquarium, and Kemah boardwalk.
This was a great spot to stay for our family getaway. We had so much fun in the pool and grilling on the grill. Home was clean and ready for us and for the most part had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely book this again in the future. Host made himself available and greeted me through the phone to make sure everything was ok.
Just as advertised except that listing did say there is a diving board on the pool. We didnât mind that it had been removed. The property is beautiful, clean, very accommodating. Owners thought pretty much of everything and were quick to respond to minor questions. Perfect for multi generational. Kids liked the bunk room! We will definitely stay again.
