The pictures did not provide a full accurate depiction of the home. The bathroom between room 1 and 2 needs repair. The kitchen tiles and a few draws were broken. The price was fare⊠Room 1 mattress was basically on floor in a frame
We stayed for 3 nights. The neighborhood felt save,Parking its limited ,We had 3 vehicles theres two spaces to park right in front of the garage we did parked our third vehicle in the main driveway and I was a bit concerned it would be an issue but we did not ran into any. We did had issues getting into the house using the key pad ,The key pad looked very old, but there's an extra key in lock and we were able tk use that. The home itself its an older model home that needs lots of remodeling and maintenance. There was a big piece of plywood screwed to the ceiling of the shared bathroom, this made the bathroom not look very appealing. Two of the side lamps found on the bedrooms did not work they didn't even have a way to turn them on, the button was broken. The master bathroom also needs maintenance and remodeling. The light and curtain bar appeared old , dusty and full of rust and both showers were poorly cleaned My hubby and I stayed on the made up bedroom in the garage, the minisplit (ac device on the wall) was great kept the room cold. The matress in the other hand was the worse mattress I have slepted in.I could feel all the coils digging my back and since my husband is heavier than me his whole weight would push all the mattress down making me roll over to his side. The whole no shoes inside its a bit too much. This is the first rental place Ive been asked to take off my shoes inside the house.
It felt like home and the neighborhood is great. Close to all the major things you need on a vacation. The house is old so the lighting and wiring are not the usual but once you get a hang of how it operates, all good. Overall, my family enjoyed it and the space was excellent for my crawling infant to explore. Would recommend for anyone traveling as a group and Iâd book again if available on my next trip to H-town
When we booked Benny was and is an amazing host I just donât believe he knows the quality over quantity rule and he had so many plumbing issues that a plumber came twice during our stay, there were not any resources available such as toilet paper or paper towels, no clean sponges to do the dishes. Previous reviews stated broken cabinets and drawers. the door lock is broken and one of the ceilings in the shower has a large wooden tile (Iâm assuming due to a plumping problem. The room closest to the garage is leaking he was very unresponsive with communication and also the shower in the âcaptains suite had wood over the sink and the secondary bathroom had a large cutout in the roof with plywood and looked like a hazard
A couple things were slightly dirty like the toilet (cleaner was added but forgot to scrub it), carpets etc. It was basic and cheap and did the job. Host was fantastic and responded quickly. Would rate 3.8/5. Some minor maintenance would do wonders.
I understand and appreciate that this listing is a budget-friendly accommodation, and based on the listing photos, I did not expect luxury standards. This was a mutual understanding and trade-off for pricing compared to other updated listings. That being said, we have family members who booked similar 3-4 bedroom stays, in the area with comparable price range and still have updated features⊠I can appreciate the efforts made towards trying to match and fix the *drawer door (since December 2024 according to previous review) which we did not notice in the photos, but it is quite unsightly seeing it in real life. Missing counter kitchen tiles and several areas where the tiles are cracked and or loosely held together (including right near the stovetop) indicating the condition of the counter has likely been deteriorating for quite sometime.. we also found a dead insect visibly on the counter space and some traces of unidentified residue.Cloth sofa with stains, it is widely known that porous surfaces as as cloth sofas and couches can absorb and harbor fluids and bacteria, which is why it is advised that accommodations for guests should use non-porous furniture such as fake leather for proper cleaning and increased sanitation ⊠same with plush or frieze carpeting that can carry dirt and bacteria (dark socks by first evening)âŠ.and WORST of all unchanged bed linens with someone elseâs hair.
The property is as described for the most part. It needs repair and not thoroughly depicted as what Iâm expected. Spacious but for the four nights, I was expecting more wash cloths for the 8 persons expected to be there but beyond the loud Latin music glaring at 2 -3 am on Sunday morning, then it was a rather peaceful stay. There were repairs that were needed in the main bathroom and a missing kitchen drawer; Iâm mentioning this because it relevant to have this repaired when renting out the home for aesthetic reasons. But other than those minor issues, it was a pleasant stay.
Beautiful home that is 10x better than the listing, great communication from the owner. Very close to IAH airport as well as grocery and other shopping. Huge backyard that my dog highly enjoyed. There was literally everything a person traveling for short or long term could want.
I was in Houston for work for a week and wanted to bring my furry baby, this place was perfect. Close to work, a safe place for her to play, a residential neighborhood that felt super safe for a single female traveler, doordash had no issues finding the spot and the best part was that after having worked I could come back and actually relax because the place is so homey. My work does take me back to Houston from time to time and I will 100% be checking the availability on this property.
Felt like a safe middle class neighborhood in close proximity to IAH, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Houston. Host was very responsive and communicated well before arrival and answered all questions timely!
This would be a perfect place for a family staying for several days. My mother and I were there for medical appointments and stayed 3 days. The home is large, has new appliances and a backyard for your furbaby and human kids. We arrived late into the evening, I was pleased to find the neighborhood quiet and relatively safe even that late at night. I was only with my mother so the extra bedrooms (there are four) were wasted on us. But if this was our annual family vacation this would have been an almost perfect location. Each room had a large screen T.V., there was enough room for family dinners in the kitchen and enough distance between room to get a break from kids if needed. The house was near a grocery store, Target and a Costco which is always a plus.
My one issue would be the lack of central air. However, there were fans, a wall unit in one bedroom and a portable in another. Those room were nice and cold. It was somewhat bearable in the other areas but canât imagine July or August without central air in that part of Texas. We were told that someone just came out to look at the central air unit and he would have them look at the unit again. However, in the meantime he would get an additional portable unit to the house as quickly as possible. The host, Benny was receptive to my concerns and even had an additional portable AC
Communication throughout our stay was beyond reproach. I appreciate our host understanding and being so quick to resolve the issue. 4.5stars
