Cheeca Lodge & Spa offers 243 accommodations with a safe and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to balconies. Beds feature premium bedding. 47-inch LED televisions come with premium cable channels.

Bathrooms include bathrobes, slippers, designer toiletries and complimentary toiletries. Business-friendly amenities include desks and telephones; free local calls are provided (restrictions may apply). Additionally, rooms include a hairdryer and an iron/ironing board. Decent place but very much overpriced both rooms and restaurants. Property definitely shows its age. Staff service was inconsistent - some great - some weak. No beach - just a small weedy / rocky walk-in area. Check-in process is slowww - room wasn't ready - they never called to say it was ready - had to chase them and finally got into the room well after 4PM.

The property had a great resort feel to it. Very clean, and the staff was great. Also, the no smoking rule was great - especially around the pool and beach area.

This property is stunningly beautiful. I've wanted to stay there my entire life and finally did. They exceeded every expectation and I anticipate going back. I live in South Florida and this is my new get away and special occasion spot. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here... they are warm, friendly, caring, genuinely helpful, entertaining and seem very happy to be there - like they would be there even if they weren't working. That goes for the locals around the area, as well. I have to say I am a professional horticulturist and the landscaping work here is exquisite. Do yourself a favor and go there.

We spent 3 fab nights at Cheeca Lodge and we had a great time. Only problem with such a lovely resort is that you don’t want to go and explore the islands (although we did) and to do so means not using the ample facilities enough. The beach and pier area was beautiful and peaceful, the gym was just about right and the room was ideally sized. We heard one lady moaning about their TV not working so we checked and ours wasn’t either - so if you want to stay in your room and watch tv…!! We would definitely recommend the place. We didn’t use the restaurants as we had recommendations to try other places.

Lots to like- especially the friendly staff. Grounds kept clean but par 3 golf course in pretty rough shape. Boats are definitely well used. Restaurant is nice but expensive as are the $20 drinks. We stayed 11 days and must have had 10 different next door neighbors who were quite loud for the most part and could be heard clearly through the lock-out door. Had to call security once. Cable tv signal worked less than half the time. Dishwasher fell over (not attached). Nice pools and tennis courts. Overall 3.5 star experience.

While waiting to check in, there was a lady complaining about her clothes been put in white garbage bags because she overstayed for an hour. The property has very nice grounds but rooms are run down.

Underwhelming

For such a highly rated resort, even recently as Readers’ Choice in Conde Nast, it was completely underwhelming. The buildings are old and tired, the beachfront quite short, and service fell short, and food was just meh. My room was in need of renovation, especially the bathroom. And the screened-in porch on the balcony was so dirty and bug-filled that sitting outside was not pleasant. As well, the roosters in the vicinity start crowing at 230 am so count on sleep. With the expensive resort fees and taxes, the most basic room is well over $550/night. It simply wasn’t worth it.
