Beautiful setting, comfortable home
The house is as pictured - bright, lovely view, updated furnishings, terrific kitchen. We appreciated the big coffee-maker. Check-in was was and intuitive. Communications with the owner were prompt, professional, and helpful. Although it was too cool to enjoy the pool (gorgeous!), we had great walks on the beach and on the nature trails nearby and loved the restaurants and bars in Fernandina beach. We would return.

Weekend wedding
Our family of five visited for a wedding and had a wonderful experience staying at Michelle's beach condo. The unit was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing us with everything we needed. One morning, we took the kids for a walk to the beach, and it was absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. Although we were there during the winter, I can only imagine how amazing it would be to stay there in the summer. Thank you, Michelle, for allowing us to stay at your condo and for being so easy to reach. I had a few questions, and Michelle promptly answered each one when I called. We truly appreciate it!

Great condo layout for family of 4. Great location
The condo was exactly as portrayed in listing pictures. 2-story unit with bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and kitchen, family room, extra bathroom, and balcony upstairs. The host Michelle was great with providing information and easy to contact during stay. It's an ocean front unit however the dunes obstruct any ocean view but it's a peacful view of a garden area and property has beautiful landscaping. Easy short walk to the (heated) pool and beach. There's even a walking path just before the dunes leading to the main Omni hotel property. Michelle provided a great curated list of restaurant recommendations. Happy with our stay!

One the best vacation rentals we’ve ever rented
This place is absolutely one of the best VRBOs we’ve ever stayed in. My husband and I have traveled a lot and stayed in a lot of different vacation rentals. This place is even more beautiful than the pictures and very clean. As a mom traveling with little kids, I really appreciated the beach chairs, beach umbrella, and all of the beach toys that were provided. You truly do not need to bring your own. We also all really appreciated the comfortable bedding. So often vacation homes come equipped with uncomfortable beds and bedding which makes sleeping in a new environment even harder, so this place was a very pleasant surprise. We are so grateful to Michelle and her parents for allowing us to stay in this beautiful property and so thankful for her quick responsiveness and thoughtfulness. We are definitely planning on coming back!

Lovely!
We so enjoyed our stay here. The condo was beautifully decorated and very well appointed - it had all of the cooking items we needed, beach chairs and toys for the kids. The property was lovely - shaded with beautiful trees for a morning walk and then the beach was just a short walk on the boardwalk and through a grassy area where turtles greeted us every day. The beach was not crowded at all which we loved! Amelia island has lots of shells to hunt - the sand is a little more rough on the feet than some other beaches since it has more shell pieces but we loved it. Property manager was great about communicating and very timely in responses. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I took our kids (age 2, 7 and 9) to this fun and entertaining villa. Not only was it equipped with a crib and booster seat, but it have many board games and a full closet of beach towels and gear which included everything except for a beach umbrella to use during our stay. We enjoyed the proximity to the pool which was not too cold for April (heated on some of the days) and beach. Staying within the Omni gates felt very safe and all inclusive. The kids enjoyed the nearby playground, mini golf and walking trails all within walking distance of our villa. The kids loved the pool and beach which were never crowded and met many nice new friends from the New England area. My 9 year old went to a nearby 10 hole par 3 golf course with my husband a couple of the mornings which was perfect for a beginner. The negative reviews of the stairs confused me because my 2 year old had no trouble with the stairs. They were easy to manage for her and there was an elevator for the stroller on the outside. All in all, we highly recommend it! Thank you for your hospitality!

Area was beautiful Omni plantation was huge and beautiful we rented bikes Condo has stairs which were not an issue for us however might be for older folks or people with little kids pool was heated close quick walk to the beach condo building is older but well kept Condo is pretty however could use a good deep cleaning if you have a family of 4 you can't all sit down together and relax as the sofa is small if they got an L shaped couch would be perfect patio furniture outside needs to be updated it's rusty Provided nice beach chairs as well This is on the 1st level so can be loud if you have the bedroom windows open with people walking by and kids screaming in the AM also can hear people walking upstairs Short car ride to the downtown area which is very cute

Sweet vacation on Amelia Island near Omni Resort
This unassuming property boasts as you walk up a flight of stairs to a quaint and charming two story condo. The views of the ocean are stunning and this well equipped home was a great 10 day vacation for us. This condo was spotless and we loved the little extra touches available- beach chairs and Turkish towels and other beach accessories. The grounds at Shipwatch are well maintained and the pool is clean and slightly heated. Easy access to the beach where walking each morning was easy and open and uncrowded. My favorite part is sleeping with the windows open and listening to the sound of the waves. You can’t beat that! We will for sure book again!

Nicely designed and thoughtful
Overall, the condo is very nice. The owners clearly put a lot of time into the decor and design. It is a nice amount of space. The area is so beautiful. The dunes and the beach are right outside and really great. You can see a peak of the ocean in the distance from the upper balcony. We had some technical issues with the cable in the downstairs bedrooms. The owners tried to help, but it did not work out, so that was a bit frustrating.

The condo had a wonderful location on the beach, was immaculately clean and looked just like the pictures. The chairs and beach supplies offered made our stay so easy because we flew in for the weekend. The two level layout was great in providing more privacy and space for our family. Nice condo.
The condo is nice and clean as shown in pictures. We did find that the distance to the beach with a two year old was a little difficult. There are several sets of stairs from condo to the beach so hauling chairs, umbrella and toddler was harder than expected. We couldn’t use our beach wagon because of the stairs. The kitchen is well equipped but the seating in living room is not very comfortable. All in all we enjoyed the stay but will look for condo closer to the beach next time. It’s a perfect place for adults or older children as it’s close to pool and quiet.

Family vacation
This was our favorite beach trip. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. Communication with the property manager was very easy, and she was extremely nice. It was perfect for my four children, and there were beach chairs and floats in the condo to use. I really liked that the sleeping area was downstairs and the kitchen and living room were upstairs. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. The pool and beach were very close. We loved seeing turtles and rabbits right outside the window. The beach and pool were not crowded. It was very relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely be back.
