Overall, our experience at the home was mostly excellent
The home was very clean and decorated in appropriate Kentucky charm. Beds and furniture were comfortable. TV placement was a bit odd, but you're there for the lake. The views from the decks outside are incredible.
Our stay was close to being 5-star, but there were details that prevented it from being so. Primarily, the amount of supplies given for our stay. We stayed for 7 nights, but each bathroom only had 2 rolls of toilet paper. Each bathroom had 4 towels total (for 10 people). There were 2 trash bags per trash can, dishwasher tablets, etc.. As a result, we needed to purchase all the essentials a home needs, including laundry supplies since we had to clean towels. If it were a budget stay somewhere, I could understand, but at $4,700 I feel like essentials should be supplied. The home may be set up more for weekend stays and a company comes in to clean and supply based on that, but our experience was 8 days/7 nights.
The outside decks have had some structural sinking issues that seem to have mostly been reconciled, but when you step out, all of the composite is severely bowed, making you initially question safety. Lastly, I believe the owner has done all they can, but parking is an issue if you have multiple people staying, especially if anyone has a boat/jet ski. Maybe arrangements could be made with a neighbor who has a land to rectify this?
