My son and I went to NYC for his birthday, and we originally wanted to stay in the city -- but everything was too expensive. Found this nice place, which had more than enough room for the two of us, and would really be fine for a party of four or five. The only drawback is that it was the top unit of a five-story building, and there is no elevator. So if stairs aren't your thing, make sure you know which unit you are getting.
It was close to restaurants, convenience store, coffee shops (probably 10 minute walk) as well as not far from the PATH station (15 minutes), which takes you into the city.
The neighborhood itself is a bit run down, and there were some characters outside every night blaring music from their car and being generally loud, until around 11 pm each night.
Check in and check out were very easy, and questions/concerns were answered promptly.
All in all it was an excellent place to return to after a day in the Big Apple, and would certainly think about staying here again the next time we head to New York City.
