While we picked probably the hottest, most humid week of the summer to come, this spot was a fantastic little getaway. It was just too humid to truly get out on the kayaks or two spend too much time on the porch, but the view was great every morning and every night. We had our dogs with us and they settled in nicely. The surrounding area is quiet and safe. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Yes, you will see the occasional ant, but there were traps laid and they were minimal. The A/C ran the entire time we were there and kept things nice and cool for us. We didn’t use (or need) the downstairs bedroom - though there did seem to be some sort of sour smell to that room. Could use a candle or something. Unfortunately the Keurig seemed to be on the fritz as it leaked when we tried to use it the first morning. Owners were more than willing to send another one, but we spent most of the week in day trips so it was a non issue. Make sure to bring some basics (paper towels, napkins, salt, pepper, butter, cooking oil, etc). The kitchen is small and basic. Has everything you need in terms of pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc. All in all - a solid location - very comfortable bed. Nice property.
