On arrival before we had even gotten out of our car, the security guard came up and began harassing us. He was rude, assumed we didn’t have a reservation, and tried to make us leave the premises. Once we made it inside the person at the front desk fully ignored us for a few minutes and took a whole call (not placing the person on hold) after I had spoken to her and attempted to check in. Then there was an additional $25 fee at check in for “amenities.” On inquiry these amenities are that a yoga class happens (not during my stay) and there is coffee in the lobby in the morning. The fee must be paid whether you use or desire these amenities. However, the basic in room amenities were absent -no coffee maker or microwave in the room and the drawers in our room were removed and had been replaced with plastic crates. It was unclear if this was a terrible design choice or just laziness. Either way it wasn’t functional. Also, the room was tiny and the beds were full not queen sized beds. It was also very apparent that the hotel has had a flip at some point to make it look modern. In the lobby and outdoor areas this was well done and of course the listing images look great. Unfortunately, that care does not continue to the rooms which looked dingy and half done (screws hanging out, floating ceiling only partially installed). The housekeeping staff was lovely and the person who checked us out in the morning was friendly and helpful. Overall, this hotel was the worst part of my trip.

Location is good. Some surprise additional costs when I checked in though apparently it is listed on here. I’m usually good at reading the fine print before booking. At any rate, $25 per day to park (though they said there was nearby free public parking), and $25 per day resort fee, so add $50 per day to the price hotels.com advertises. I asked what the resort fee was for, and they said beach towels, etc…so I asked for the beach towels and they were out if them, lol, but they gave me additional bath towels. No coffee services in the room, and no microwave. They did bring a microwave when my mom asked about it. Some restaurants, abc store, and a nice small family beach on right side of pier two minute walk away. Nice enough for overnight stay when flying in, staff friendly, but overall i am glad to be heading to a condo for the rest of my family’s stay.

The property is nicely located within walking distance of dining and shopping. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The ocean side of the building had a distant view of the ocean, but directly below the balcony were ugly storage containers and large waste bin. Maybe there wasnt anywhere else to put them, but there was no attempt to hide them or beautify the view. Otherwise everything was nice.

The room decor, design and outdoor common spaces are quite beautiful. The location is very handy. We found check-in to be frustrating, slow, not friendly. We were very frustrated that we were not able to access our room within one hour of check-in time, even though we saw others able to do so in front of us. When we did get permission to check into our room, The keys were not programmed properly And we had to wait for maintenance to arrive on property to help us. There were no apologies.The ice machine in our building was broken. The room smelled very mildewy, but once we were able to open windows, it got a little better. There were no linens in the room for the second bed, which should have been in place since we booked the room for three adults.
