We had an amazing week with 25 family and friends at the North Shore house for a small, intimate wedding ceremony. Not only was the house even better than we expected, but the surrounding area was great. There was so much to do that we barely even scrated the surface. All the locals were friendly and made us feel welcome. We hiked, swam in the nearby reservoir, rented a boat for the lake, visited wineries and restaurants. There was also lots of wildlife around, including otter, osprey, quail, grebe, and deer.
The lake house is secluded and has plenty of lovely, mature, shady oak trees. Sitting on the back porch for the lake views was a highlight. The host was responsive and helpful. They even sent extra ping pong and foosball balls to the house mid-week. The house was clean and comfor
There were bugs at night, but the tiki torches did a good job detering them. Mosquitos normally love me, but I wasn't bothered much at all this week.
We did not swim off the house dock because of the algae and cyanobacteria, but that did not bother us. All of the indoor and outdoor spaces provided and optimum setting for conversation and enjoying each other's company.
