Don’t do it , this is your warning
I have never made a review like this, and been doing rentals for many years. we were excited to stay on a boat in key west. Communication was easy with Kevin. Now the charter you pay through a seperate acct not vrbo, so it is not protected if there is a problem. That will come into play later ,We get to the boat and captain Phil meets us and shows us around. He was helpful .The boat is dirty it needs a deep clean top to bottom and is cluttered and in need of repair. No way to lock the door, pictures are not accurate. Some things in the pictures that are not there now.There were roaches and a seperate air system not shown in the pictures. There is a mold mildew smell through out. I saw many damp x boxs to try and help.Now when being shown around the captain mentioned the marina showers / toilets and recommended those. I asked if the boats was not usable but he said we could use those.We didn’t even consider the washer after that.After the first night I got a hotel room.I could not stay there.Our adults kids wanted to stay.For the charter I was told that weather need to be looked at, I get that. First it was Sunday then Monday, then Tuesday, our last day. Tuesday the boat would not start,all 3 days were nice, the boat has had ongoing electrical problems. The toilets stopped flushing that night . One kid got a room that night also.Kevin said no to a refund, for the charter, only a rain check and we are not going back. Not a luxury stay, I think alot of rain checks are given

A very disappointing experience.
Our stay on this yacht was disappointing, with more challenges than positives. While the location was excellent, and the Perry Hotel staff and facilities were fantastic, the yacht's condition and management fell short. It wasn’t ready at check-in, as the cleaning crew arrived at the same time we did. The boat, an older model, had significant issues, including backed-up plumbing, persistent sewer odors, and cockroaches. Communication with the owner was inconsistent and often required multiple follow-ups.Renting this yacht also requires an expensive charter. When the captain arrived for our planned fishing/snorkeling trip, he showed us the gear—cheap, broken, and insufficient for our party. The captain was friendly and humorous but unenthusiastic about going out due to chilly weather and high seas. Given these conditions and poor equipment, we decided to cancel the trip. Our refund request for the charter was denied, with only a rain check offered, which we can't really use, and none of us wanted to anyway after our experience.The host later offered to refund one night’s fee, but multiple follow-up attempts to secure it have thus far gone unanswered (now 48 hours after checkout). While we enjoyed Key West and the Perry Hotel, the yacht’s odors, insects, and poor management tarnished our visit. This rental has potential due to its location, but major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and communication are necessary to meet expectations.

Stay away from this one!
We were so very excited to get to Key West and stay on a boat! This has always been a dream trip and this is the boat we decided to rent. Upon arrival, we found the boat in the marina with good communication from the host. We got on and immediately upon stepping inside were hit with the rank smell of sewer due to the boats bathrooms not functioning. The previous guests had left the toilets full and the host/cleaning crew just left it there for us without any mention. Over the next few days we had multiple visits from the crew who was trying to resolve this issue. They quickly got the toilets flushing but the smell of a sewer never left. It was very hard to be on the boat and nearly impossible to sleep with the stench. I saw in previous reviews that this had been an issue and I asked the host specifically about this issue only to be told it had been resolved. That was a lie. Beyond the smell, there were quite a few other items that need attention - water dripping from ceiling in salon, TV in salon is a mess to operate, garbage disposal in kitchen didn't work which made it very hard to wash dishes, entrance ramp is sketchy, and on and on.A completely separate issue is that the owner made us book a charter on the boat as part of our stay. Unfortunately the weather didn't work out for us and the owner then refused to give us a refund even though it was agreed. This boat really does have a chance to be a great place to stay but needs significant attention.

Family Vacation
Overall this boat served its purpose and everything went well. The location and the resort were excellent and the host quickly responded via txt to any questions we had. However, this is not a luxury yacht as advertised. I may very well have been in 1972 when it was new but now I would categorize it as nostalgic.

Not as advertised and Horrible Horrific Smell
The boat has large ac throughout that are not in any pictures and do not keep it cool. It smells like sewer or mold. We could not stay and have not been offered a refund even though I have been working on a claim with vrbo. The owner even said he set off “bomb” to help with the smell and it was fine. It was not fine. Don’t spend your hard earned money on this to just have to rebook with a local hotel like we did. Very disappointing and sad. People should not be treated this way when they rent something in good faith.

Worst booking ever!
Below are just a few problems encountered on our stay: Cockroaches seen in the linen closet, galley and salon. Electrical issues our entire stay - air conditioner and oven could not be used at the same time. Several times the power went out on the entire boat. Bad sewer smell in the bathroom that only got worse every day. Only one of two showers worked, and the working one had a very slow drain. No top sheets on beds, only bottom sheets. No green egg BBQ as advertised. Stereo did not work. Light in main salon out as well as master bedroom. Items in the freezer looked like they had been there forever. The AC went out our last night and the host sent Scott from a neighboring boat to look at it. Scott was very intoxicated when he arrived. He said he had to shut the AC water pump off to clean the screen and did so. While he was doing this another neighbor arrived who was very intoxicated and obnoxious. He told Scott to leave it and come to his boat to drink and party. He was smoking a cigar inside the boat and we asked him to leave. Scott was unsuccessful in getting the AC to work so they left without turning the water pump back on. At this point we decided to get a room at a hotel. We found a room at 10:30pm costing $450. Upon leaving, the cigar guy threatened to push us off the dock into the ocean. I texted the host and asked for compensation due to all the issues and he would not reply. He then blew up my phone after 10:30pm with text's blaming us for the AC issues.

Girlfriends weekend in Key West
We were looking for a unique place to stay while in Key West that provided an experience for the weekend. The Vita Felice was just right. The owners were available to greet us and show us around the boat and were available via text for any questions we might have had throughout our stay. The Perry Hotel & Marina has restaurants and provides a shuttle service to Front street in Key West, the marina has additional bathrooms/showers too. This VRBO offers a quiet location away from the noise of Key West. There were 5 of us on our trip and it was a enough space for us to relax and enjoy.
