My siblings and I rented the house to celebrate our father’s 70th birthday. It was spacious, beautiful, jaw-dropping, and exactly as advertised in the listing. Maybe even better, because there was a pool table which wasn’t in the photos before we came!
We used the grill outside, enjoyed some thunderstorms from the luxury of the covered hot tub, used the home theater to watch old home movies, and were grateful that everyone was able to carve out their own space. My brother, who was the first to arrive, sent us a message saying there wasn’t a bad bedroom in the whole house and he was right. All the adults had king beds, personal bathrooms, and plenty of space.
The port of Kimberling is just 10 minutes down the road. We rented a pontoon boat and water tube from What’s Up Dock? and spent a super fun day out on the lake.
The only hiccup we had during our stay was that we arrived when the temperature and the humidity were both at 100, and it caused one of the air conditioning units to freeze. We were able to maintain good communication with the property manager and get it fixed. It did make us notice that every level had its own unit, meaning every space - including the loft - stayed comfortable and cool. We are a family who likes things on the cooler side (mid 60s at night) and I was so grateful this property manager did not put limits on the thermostat that would have prevented us from being comfortable.
Everyone agreed we should come back next year. Highly recommend.
