Nightmare!!
I reached the hotel at around 9pm after a long flight from Heathrow via 5 hours stopover at Delhi. I had the printout of my booking. There were couple of guys at the counter. Well they could not find my booking. In nutshell after 2 hours of arguing where they called someone they assumed knew more and who told them to refuse me a room as they didn't have me in the system. They said they didn't know hotels.com and confirmation should have come from OYO to which I said I don't know who they are. I don't understand why did they put up their hotel details on hotels.com website if they have no clue about this website. So after two hours of them refusing to budge I had an idea to ask my husband in London call the UK office. He was made to stay in line for 45 mins. Finally someone did call this hotel and send an email about the room confirmation which initially they refuse to accept but finally gave in. I must though thank the person who called because she very helpful and persistent. So finally at around 11pm I was given a room away from this hotel. The room was terrible and cleanliness was awful and didn't get what I had paid for which was a room with balcony. But I stayed put for 2 nights as I had paid for it. I wanted leave and ask for a refund but had lost the will to live by the end of it. Anyway to come out of this trauma I stayed at Novotel for rest of my stay and promised myself never again will stay at places like these or anything that has tie up with OYO.
