Great Stay at Monterey!
This hotel was clean, comfortable and well located. Staff was available whenever necessary and always helpful. Spa and sauna were really nice with massage services in-house. The cost of this hotel was incredibly reasonable for the quality provided.

We appreciated the option for an upgrade, and the kindness of the staff. Even though the entrance was under construction, the convenience and location towards the subway made our visit so easy to navigate. They also let us store our bags prior to check-in, which we were immensely grateful for.

I originally left a Less than satisfied review because of the very firm mattress, but the hotel was pretty great so I feel the need to change it. The service is amazing. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The beds are very, very firm and I did not think I was going to Be able to sleep on them at all! However, you’re so tired from all the walking I really didn’t have too much trouble. Pillows are down and stiff not my ideal pillow either but the service was amazing. The hotel is pretty; it’s a great location central to everything and walking distance to the market. I would stay here again.

Super nice hotel with very clean rooms and centrally located. Just north of Kyoto station and walkable to Nishiki market, Gion district and Yasaka shrine. The coolest Starbucks is across the road. It has these 30 foot windows that has views of a Rokkakudo temple. You can drink coffee and contemplate the garden of the temple as worshippers come and go.

Excellent stay for 6 nights. Would definetely come back. 7 mins walk to nishiki market and main shopping areas. 2 nearby metro stations. Spa upstairs is nice to relax and free ice lollies!
