A lot of things were dirty. The bedspread on one of the beds in my room had stains and I brushed away some dirt. The sink has a crack in it. Someone spilled coffee down the wall by the door going out of the room. It had not been cleaned up before I got the room. The bathroom shower drain is not attached and floated off when I turned the water on. It was gross. In the lobby the carpet was very dirty from chips or something all over the floor in front of the slot machines. Why are there slot machines in the hotel? The fireplace in the lobby was covered with dust. Breakfast was pretty good. I was disappointed. When I stay in a hotel I expect for it to be clean. They really need to fix that drain in the shower. Thank you.

We stayed in an extended stay room with family staying in the room adjacent. We had to unplug our refrigerator due defective fan motor. The fridge had not been wiped out and the ice cubes were dehydrated. The worst thing was the awful sound the fridge was making. There was only 1 set of towels for 2 people for two nights. There were no kitchen towels or wash cloths. No paper goods in the kitchen. There were no spare blankets. The blanket that I got from the front desk had the shadow of a stain in the center of the blanket. There’s no dishwasher in the kitchen but a big hole in the cabinet where it used to be. Just inot inviting! If you know you’re having guests in a room make sure there are clean linens, spare blankets and make sure the fridge isn’t going into orbit.

One night stay was great

We came in for a 1 night stay for a sports game. When we checked in we were able to up grade our room for under 10.00. The staff was truley amazing. I talked with the front desk staff for a few minutes in the morning and she was so personable and truly so very kind. The morning breakfast was perfect for our needs plenty of variety and selections. If im ever in the area of Viroqua again i will definitely make sure i stay at the American Inn again. Thank you

Room was nice, was clean, beds nice. Life safety concerns: reported filters at HVAC unit filthy, removed for better airflow, filters not cleaned for second nite. Filters in room also filthy. Vanity sink slow to drain, Both doors require tightening; hard to close.
