Great View - Decent Room

We opted for an upper floor lake view room….it made the experience. It was bitter cold out and it was wonderful to be able to hunker down and see the world unfold in the cold. The little electric fireplace was also a nice bonus. We appreciated having and larger apt fridge for our food etc. as well as a basic set of plates and utensils. We were able to do breakfast in our room that way. The king bed, while comfortable was problematic. Every time my partner moved it was like being on an amusement park ride…and so sleeping soundly wasn’t possible. Clearly the room had been redone in the recent past and they did a decent job but not exceptional….Appreciated the walk in shower but the bathroom was small. Would we return??? not out of the question.

I would give this hotel 5 stars except for the parking. We took the last available spot and I really wanted to drive around the area at night to see the Christmas lights but we were almost sure to lose our parking spot so we had to give up our plans. I really wish we could have done that. They should have enough parking for their guests.

I read that this property had been remodeled and it has - I’ve been staying at this property for over 30 years (another hotel chain).. However in my research former customers said the property is beautiful but they need new mattresses! I only stayed two nights but I came home with a back ache! As another customer stated the mattresses are bumpy! Please make that investment and purchase new mattresses!! Thank you
