First let me say, the location downtown can’t be beat! It’s walkable to everything, which made it super fun. The decorations inside are super fun and quirky and kept us laughing the whole trip.
The biggest drawback is being right next door to one of the most popular bars downtown. The listing warned us that there would be noise but it’s LOUD in the master bedroom Thursday-Saturday. Even all the noise machines and earplugs didn’t drown out the live music until almost 2am every night. (The bar is fun though, if you can’t sleep we recommend going down to Champs for snacks and drinks!)
The apartment is definitely more “historical”… creaky floors and thin walls. The furniture was vintage and would make cracking noises when my husband would sit on chairs, etc. We were afraid the trampoline bed was going to break, the post supporting it was about to dislodge from the floors underneath it.
The amenities were also disappointing- the ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge didn’t work, the hair dryer only blows cold air… there were stains on the walls… the trampoline bed is breaking… picture frames are broken, paint is chipping…
For the HUGE fees that came with this place I hoped for a better guest experience. Way more than any other rentals we’ve ever booked, and we couldn’t justify why since they didn’t go above and beyond.
