Run down and very, very noisy. Old windows that don't block traffic noise from Highway 80. Cold comes through the window, so heater runs all night long and is also very noisy. Bought earplugs for second night! Furniture looks like it was bought at a yard sale. No closet, no luggage rack. You have to check out a hairdryer from the front desk! No elevator to access second and third floors. Breakfast area is extremely small. No room for more than 2 or 3 people to get coffee and breakfast items at the same time. On Saturday morning there were no muffins, no yogurt or bananas. Staff had to take more waffles out of the freezer! How do you cook frozen waffles in a toaster? Not worth the price at all.

Easy and fast check in. Staff was nice. To go breakfast was a nice addition. Hallways could use some upgrades. The sink didn’t drain well and one lamp didn’t work but overall is ok for these money.

All roads including Interstate 80 were closed leading to Truckee early afternoon due to snow/winter storm. Clerk called to confirm if I was able to make the stay, which I wasn't, and promptly cancelled the reservation because she had travelers stranded in Truckee due to road conditions and wanted to give them a room for the night. I appreciated her honesty, she communicated well and was very pleasant over the phone under those conditions and I was happy I could help other travelers caught in the travel mess!

We booked a room for three people, two adults and one teenager. I assumed there would be a sofa bed or extra bed but no. Only one queen bed! My husband ended up sleeping on the floor. Terrible, especially for $300. Very unhappy.

Thin walls. Nice staff mostly. Watch out for the boulders that line the driveway in places … didn’t notice one and ended up scraping my rental car, small but expensive damage.
