Horrible neighborhood. Abandoned houses for neighbors. People roaming the neighborhood both AM and PM. Our third night there was a large house party across the stress and it ended with a gunfire exchange of about 15 rounds, people fleeing on foot and in cars, burning out speeding away. We had to call 911 and it was an active crime scene for several hours, with a second investigation going on in the parking lot behind the property (where people had fled to after jumping property walls). When the shooting happened I was putting my baby to bed in the master which is located looked over the street. The windows of the property were so paper thin that I could hear every word spoken, every footstep of people running away, and the gunfire was so loud it was deafening. A bullet could have easily pierced the walls and killed us.
Other issues we had- hot tub never worked (was showing an error code). To our alarm, a plain clothed pool guy showed up in the backyard, unannounced, one morning to clean the pool. He couldn’t get the hot tub to work. He left chemicals on the pool deck within reach of our toddler.
The house was very dirty and grimy (crumbs on the couch, dirty walls, a thick layer of old grime and dust on the windowsills and baseboards, clogged sink full of hair, a previous guests prescription box next to the bed, an unused unwrapped tampon under a dresser, stained and crusty feeling carpets.) The vertical blinds in each room had missing slats so there was no privacy.
