We bought this chalet in 2013.
Previously it was also a seasonal rental. It is a chalet on 2 levels. On the ground floor the basement includes the garage for its half allowing to shelter 2 cars or a large one. In the other part a newly created room can accommodate 2 people. It consists of a 140 bed and storage. Next to it is a second bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet which complements comfort. The cellar includes a washing machine, a sink and a water heater. The level of the first floor is completely made of wood. The ground floor access leads to the entrance via a paved driveway. It is possible to access by an external or internal staircase from the basement which leads to the kitchen area.
The adjoining American kitchen with the living room includes the dishwasher and integrated oven, 2 electric hotplates and 2 gases as well as the microwave and fridge freezer
 . As an extension, it is the dining room with its sitting area, TV, DVD player with which you can view DVDs of the region which will guide you for your visits on site and free wifi access.

The room opens onto a large balcony where you can contemplate the surrounding landscape.
Two bedrooms are each furnished with a 140 bed and storage. There is the possibility of adding a folding bed for a baby.
The bathroom has a closed shower cubicle and sink as well as a storage cupboard. The toilets are independent of the bathroom. The VMC ensures the ventilation of these rooms.
The heating is done by electric convectors. Electricity is due according to consumption and meter reading arrival, departure. the average is € 60 in winter for the week. A wood fireplace comfort your evenings with good warmth.
A reserve of wood for 12 € can be provided.
Outside there is a terrace area with garden furniture, parasol and barbecue as well as a sandpit for the little ones.
During your stay at this chalet, you're just a quick walk from Ballons des Vosges Nature Park. Enjoy features like laundry facilities.

Exactly as described.

Lovely location looking down on the centre of the village. Very friendly and helpful owner who lives very near to sort any problems - like arriving very late. Perfect family holiday.

Das Chalet war sehr sauber und schön. Nur der W-Lan Empfang war relativ schwach. In der Umgebung war sehr wenig los, aber zum Wandern ist es sehr schön dort.

Chalet spacieux, bien équipé et bien placé

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce chalet (nous étions 4 personnes). La neige n'était pas au RDV mais avons pu faire des randonnées depuis le village. Tout est à portée de main (ou presque). Literie de bonne qualité, propriétaires à proximité qui répond à vos besoins et à vos questions.

Notre séjour à LE MENIL Vosges

Un chalet agréable pour un séjour familial

Chalet bien conçu, très bien situé avec une très grande terrasse qui offre une vue magnifique. Très bon contact avec les propriétaires (accueil, verre de bienvenue, disponibilité). Petit bémol : la cuisine et la salle-de-douche de l'étage gagneraient à être modernisées (les propriétaires le prévoient).

Radl- und Wandertrip mit schöner Unterkunft

Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage des Objektes ist herrlich und optimal als Ausgangspunkt für Rad- und Wandertouren. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr sauber, geräumig und die Küche top ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Terrasse mit Grillmöglichkeit und der Balkon bieten schöne, gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten. Die Garage ist genial zum Abstellen der Fahrräder plus Auto. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die kleine Bäckerei ums Eck mit ausgezeichnetem Baguette.

Excellent séjour.

Chalet très confortable, spacieux et bien placé dans une commune tranquille des Vosges, au pied des ballons d'Alsace et des forêts vosgiennes. Les propriétaires nous ont très bien accueillis et sont très sympathiques. Nous recommandons cette location à ceux qui veulent découvrir cette belle région particulièrement propice aux randonnées à pied, vélo de route et VTT.

Chalet à la hauteur de nos attentes

Avec mon mari et mes quatre enfants, nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans le confortable chalet pervenche de monsieur et madame Colle,qui sont très sympathiques et dignes de confiance! Au chalet, on s’est senti comme chez nous, on a manqué de rien! Bref,cet endroit est un lieu pour les personnes qui cherchent le repos, le calme et le bien être de soi!
