The house itself was charming, and we loved the old style, antiques, and location—it was perfect for our trip. However, the toilet broke on our first night, which left seven people sharing just one bathroom. The check-in process was also frustrating. You have to drive to a realtor’s office, pick up the key from a lockbox, and then find the house. At 10pm after a long day of travel, driving around just to get a key is the last thing you want to deal with. I strongly suggest placing the lockbox directly at the property instead.Another inconvenience is that guests are required to bring their own sheets, towels, and even extra toilet paper and paper towels. There was no coffee provided—not even enough for one cup—and no hair dryer. For the price, the owner really should consider providing more for families, at least the basics. As an owner of five rental properties myself, I felt this one was overpriced given the lack of amenities and convenience.
