The best parts about this cottage are its location in Camp Meeting, which is a quaint, quiet, wooded, camp-like community, walkable to dining and family friendly events, the wrap around porch, and the time period decor. The sleeping arrangements with 4 mixed gender teens were a challenge, but if your teen/preteen, our you (parent) don't mind taking the couch, there is plenty of room for 6 guests like is in this cottage. There is only one shower, so planning bathing times is important unless some of your group prefer baths. The house was tidy upon our arrival and since we're tidy people, it wasn't difficult to follow the check out requirements to avoid "extra fees for not taking out the garbage or putting away the clean dishes from the drying rack". Since we brought our own sheets and towels, we did that part, too, so I am dissatisfied with the high fee included (and "not negotiable" as I inquired. Without that high cleaning fee, I would write that the price matched the accommodations. Truly, the location made the stay magical, so it is easy to overlook small bothers. We opened the windows as we don't like AC and the "musty smell" (which is normal of an older home in the woods) was not so bothersome. One should expect higher prices for the area restaurants as well as a $24/adult fee for day access to the lake and beach, which was not explained on the listing. I have already let family know that we should come back and stay again, but I will plan for a cot or two.
