Charm and originality abound at Soggy Bottom Cottage. Immaculate, thoughtfully decorated, and well supplied, this lovely little house stands under old hemlocks in a well preserved Bluegrass landscape. (Tom Kimmerer’s book Venerable Trees explains this kind of landscape for those interested in knowing more about it). Original art by a beloved local artist adds to the cottage’s charm. The host was gracious and generous. Booking and checkin/checkout were painless. Despite its rural setting, the cottage is convenient to Keeneland, to Woodford Reserve Distillery, to Lexington, and to just about any other area attraction, as well as to the airport. Everyone in my group thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Soggy Bottom Cottage.
