Great for our girls retreat. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, covered porch, and all the wildlife. It was secluded and quiet and we definitely would stay again.
The property itself is very nice/clean and the location is amazing. Lilliwaup is a beautiful area close to the Hood Canal and plenty of charming small towns along the water. We found the listing price to be dishonest. The stay ended up being vastly more expensive than listed due to ridiculous âfeesâ which was incredibly annoying. After enough time passed that we forgot about the surprise uppercut our wallet took, the property was quite enjoyable.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Like some other guests mentioned, having Wi-Fi or a few board games available would be a nice touch for the quiet moments. A new set of skillets in the kitchen would also be a much-appreciated upgrade. Overall, a great stay with just a few small suggestions to make it even better.
The house was lovely but there's a few issues. Firstly, we booked this house mainly for the hot tub. However the hot tub cover is broken in multiple areas which means it doesn't get as hot as it should. Second, the springs in the mattress of the pull out sofa are so damaged that it's not usable
Stayed 3 nights. Very comfortable size. Positioned between the peninsula and Seattle area. Very clean when we arrived. Be careful-Google Maps was off by about 500 feet for the turnoff. Could use more space for clothes. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Quiet area off the main road.
Pleasant Stay...but essentially 1 shower, + other potential useful info...
The place was clean and welcoming after having traveled all day. The roomy fenced yard/field area where dogs can roam was very overgrown. We didn't have pets with us, but I would wonder about ticks if I'd brought my dog or one getting lost in the weeds if it was a small breed. Would have been nice to have some beach towels to use instead of just the small white shower towels. Biggest issue is the upstairs bathroom. Other reviews complain of a clogged shower drain. The drain worked fine, however the shower design/construction is such that all the water comes out the bottom of the shower door onto the bathroom floor. It's obviously happened over a period of time as the wood floor has swelled so much that you can't shut the bathroom door. It was unusable to shower in, and there were 5 of us left to use one shower. Also, the TV is only really there to play DVD's (of which there were only sequels haha), but at least the downstairs one was not hooked up to anything, nor were there the proper cables to connect it all up. 2 minute walk to a beach is a little misleading...the property is up very high..it's gorgeous..but it gains elevation quickly so walking back would be a trek in an of itself. It's also not a beach right across the road you have to go north
This property was fine, if not underwhelming. We had several issues with Vacasa, the property management company.
1. We were provided with 1 roll of paper towels, 4 rolls of toilet paper, and a handful of dishwashing/laundry tablets for an 8-night stay. When we ran out and contacted Vacasa, they told us that for extended stays guests should bring their own extra toilet paper and supplies! That is absurd.
2. Prior reviews noted the upstairs shower didn't drain but Vacasa responded it had been fixed. It wasn't and the shower still backs up.
3. The smoke detector in the master bedroom has been removed.
4. Responses to prior reviews also said the security camera pointed at the hot tub was disabled and removed. It is still there and working.
5. The grill is in poor/unsafe conditions. The knobs don't regulate the flow of propane so you have to turn the grill on and off at the tank.
6. Vacasa will nickle and dime you. They offered us a late check out since the property was not booked the next day but only if they paid extra.
7. There is a rooster next door that will wake you up at 5:30 am. While not the property's fault, it would have been nice to know this before booking.
Extremely disappointed in Vacasa's business practices and will be avoiding their properties in the future.
The house is nice, has everything you need more or less. Would have enjoyed the hot tub more if it was maintained better (weird smell, maybe not enough chlorine or something). Did not particularly love the security cameras directly pointing at it, felt a little weird. The upstairs shower is super clogged and we couldnt really use it. I'd probably choose a different place if I was to go again (it was picked mostly for the hot tub) but it was a good location to spend time at the canal and lake. It was clean and had lots of toiletries and towels and awesome that it was dog friendly.
We wanted a budget friendly get away with a hot tub and this place was great. Clean and well stocked, only complaint was that there was dog hair in the beds. Other than that, we were very happy with the place. Google maps didn't take us directly to the house so once you turn onto the drive, make sure you pay attention to the directions they give.
Beautiful, remote location. The home is very comfortable. Close to many nice areas. Perfect for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day grind. To rest, rejuvinate and connect with nature.
Pet friendly as well with a nice large dog area.
Given my multiple complaints about the cleanliness of this property and misrepresentation of the property, I have been offered half the money back for the cleaning fee. I requested the full cleaning fee plus the fee for the hot tub as is wasnât working and they were waiting for a part and never let us know until I asked about it. No âbeach accessâ. Dirty all over. Obvious cobwebs, crusty debris in the burners on the stove, thick dust on light fixtures and tv equipment, obvious sticky substance in the freezer, stained carpet and furniture and sheets, questionable whether sheets were actually washed or just restetched and beds made. The clean towels were found in the dryer. Donât worry - I folded those and put them away. Weeds everywhere and overgrown rose bushes in the walkways. So disappointed. Still not even the half of the cleaning fee has been reimbursed.
The towels had hair all over them. The hot tub wasnât that hot. The downstairs shower didnât work right. The upstairs shower kept flooding. Could only watch DVDs. The neighbors were loud till 3am messing around and doing stuff all night long. Overall stay will not be back.
The location it self and everything about it was amazing however my only 2 complaints would be that the hottub would not stay at a hot tempature which was irritating and that the trash can by the road was full before we even got there making it a hassle to conserve how much trash we had in order to not over fill the trashcan and allow animals nearby to get into it, other then that the location was great just don't use Google maps for the last part of it or it will send you down the wrong way.
This was a great property. It could have been a bit cleaner but nothing crazy. It was pretty stormy while we were there and lost power twice so be prepared. It was super cozy though and secluded. I would love to stay in the summer and enjoy the canal. I would recommend this property for sure.
This home provided the perfect getaway for our family to attend a nearby family wedding. The house was incredibly clean, comfortable and updated. The listing says there are 3 king beds, but the downstairs beds are both queens. There is a sofa sleeper in the upstairs loft. We loved the hot tub and the landscaping was well maintained. The only downside of the home was not having wifi which we thought was odd since something must be powering the homes security system. We wish we were able to stay longer here!
We had a great stay at this beautiful cabin property. Do not follow Google maps for directions and it is really closer to Eldon than Lilliwaup. Otherwise it is fantastic, clean and well stocked. Make sure you read the description that there is no Wifi and cell coverage was spotty. Great place to get off the grid!
