Super location
Ideally located for the shops and bars of Liverpool City centre. Granted,it was a bit noisy outside at times what with street cleaners and bin lorries going about their business in the early hours,but I think that´s a small price to pay for such a convenient location. Reception and Service were both very friendly,and the breakfast was just fine.

Hotel mit typisch „englischem Charm“.
Das Haus macht einen etwas „abgenutzten“ Eindruck, es ist nichts kaputt, jedoch halt ein wenig „alt“. Die Leute dort sind durchwegs freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für Menschen die kein „english Breakfast“ mögen, ist der Rest (Frühstück) sehr spatanisch. Hungern muss trotzdem niemand. Man darf die Messlatte bei dem Preis nicht zu hoch legen. Wer zum Vergnügen nach Liverpool reist und auf Luxus verzichten kann, ist dort zentral und günstig gut aufgehoben.

Nettes Hotel im Zentrum von Liverpool
Also vorweg, wenn jemand einen leichten Schlaf hat oder ruhige Umgebung will, ist dieses Hotel mit Sicherheit die falsche Wahl. Durch das Pub im Haus und die zahlreichen Lokale in der Nachbarschaft ist es bis zur Sperrstunde relativ laut. Das Hotel wirbt auch nicht mit ruhiger Lage. Aber wenn man etwas typisches im Zentrum von Liverpool mit einem tollen Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sucht, dann ist man im "The Hanover Hotel" richtig. Das Zimmer war funktionell und sauber, Late-Check-Out war auch ohne Aufpreis kein Problem. Die McCartney's Bar im Erdgeschoß bietet neben einer Riesen-Auwahl an Bier auch div. preisgünstige Mahlzeiten. Das Personal ist generell freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das inkludierte "English-Breakfast" ist zwar nicht jedermanns Sache, aber in GB habe ich schon weit weniger zu einem weit höheren Preis bekommen... Alles in allem, für Leute die nicht unbedingt auf Oberklasse stehen ein nettes, günstiges Hotel.

A good place to rest your head.
When I arrived I had a minor problem finding the front desk (up some stairs and around the corner). I will say that the people from the front desk to the cleaning staff were very helpful. Breakfast I would have liked to have had a menu to choose from, but it was still very good. The room was a little bit of a maze to get to, again when I got the room it was a nice size and the bathroom was also very well laid out. There was a small problem with the TV it was a basic flatscreen tv so I couldn't get subtitles. As for the Biggest surprise was that although it's above a pub the room was very quiet and restful. Overall I would stay again.

リバプール駅から徒歩で10分もかかりません。周りに飲食店、ミニマーケットがあり便利です。 エレベーターが無く、重い荷物を運ぶのは大変でした。 バスタブ付きでした、 冷蔵庫、ヘアドライヤー、ヘアコンディショナーはなく金庫はありました。 外の音は気になりました。 部屋は清潔でした。

Not bad for the price
The hotel were up front about the noise until midnight. To check in you had to negotiate drunk youths on the steps. Radiator was on and window open!?!? It was clean and breakfast was nice.

We were warned that we were on the noisy side of the building, and we were. Noise all night from nightclubs spilling into the street then garbage trucks cleaning up from about 4.30am. We were advised that the wifi was intermittant, and it certainly wasnt available for most of our stay. We mentioned that the safe and wifi were both not working, and the counter staff agreed this was the case. The meals only consisted of Breakfast. No food available at other times. There was only Hip Hop music played in McCartneys bar during our stay. The bar staff appeared to be confused when we asked if they ever played Beatles music. Overall, a bit of a disappointing experience, but we did get just what we paid for.

excellent service,was allowed to check in before 11am(very handy) room spotless,excellent breakfast.stayed many times and will again,noisy til about 1am but can cope with that.no complaints at all.

Good stay in Liverpool City Centre
A solidly good place to stay in city centre. The service was alright; there were three occasions where we went to the reception desk and, even after dining the bell a couple times, no one was available or came to the desk. There was a sign to go to the bar if that was the case, but the bar was quite busy. Hotels.com state this site has air conditioning and that is not the case - I am not faulting the owner for that; just be wary if you are looking for that. We were on the 2nd floor and it god extremely hot overnight and it was not really a hot day overall. We did ask for a fan and got one; but it was pretty old, dirty, and stopped working after only an hour or so. It is a loud neighborhood, but we expected that and it did not detract from our stay as it was close to everything we were wanting. For the money it was a nice stay, however for those who may want and expect more out of a stay - you may want to seek another place thats a bit more expensive. Overall, good stay and breakfast was very nice. Thank you!

My error…. Never having been to Liverpool before I didn’t realize where exactly the hotel was located. Eesh, party city! On the other hand it was close to everything. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were so kind and accommodating.

Cheap and cheerful - but the staff are the best!
We stayed for Taylor Swift weekend. The staff were so wonderful, everyone really welcomed us warmly and looked after us. The receptionist is really nice and the lady who cooked our breakfast too. We loved our stay and highly recommend. The Beatles memorabilia is very cool.
