Refurbishment needs work!

No information on Hotels.com website or Tune Liverpool website that the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment. This meant no lifts and having to drag heavy suitcases to the top floor. No assistance offered. No room numbers on the doors - just bits of sticky tape. Room was clean. Double bed was tiny. No tea or coffee making facilities, which was poor for the cost of this room. Bathroom door didn't shut. Open windows didn't shut and closed windows didn't open! Shower tray was extremely slow to drain water, leaving all the residue from the previous person behind. If this is what a refurbishment looks like, dread to think what it looked like before!

The room was in bad condition. Broken door and a light on the ceiling that cannot be turned off. Also, very noisy. One of the worst hotels I stayed at in recent years.

Perfect spot in city centre

The location and price were perfect and the check in and out was very straightforward and the staff were friendly, payment was taken before we even arrived so that sped things up too. The only thing was the finding of our room which was a little confusing and felt like a bit of a trek especially for an older member of the party but I think that was due to the refurbishment work going on. Apart from that I would definitely recommend Tune Hotel for all around value.

Mid- refurb....no tea/coffee in room

Simple and clean hotel, mid refurbishment so hard to give a full assessment. Only black mark was lack of tea/coffee facilities to make own drink. Its a cheap solution to put a kettle and cups in each room and helps forst thing for anyone up and out early

Very basic, no kettle in the room. Hotel was being refurbished so had to ‘go round the houses’ a little to get to the reception and also to the room. Otherwise a reasonable place for a business trip for a few days at a time, and perfectly placed for everything you could need in Liverpool.

Do not stay here 😒

Had we of known about the refurbishment that was ongoing we would not of booked this hotel. We were originally put on the top floor of hotel B up i lost count of how many flights of stairs on the top floor. Passing old heaps of wood old cans of opened paint everywhere. No lift so had to carry our luggage all the way up. I went back to reception to ask the receptionist if she could move us to a more accessible room and she was very helpful and moved us straight away to the lower floor in the main building. Our room was to say the least awful. Had we of being charged maybe £50 per night to stay here we would of accepted it . But we were charged £263 for the 2 nights and we certainly did not expect what we got. There was brown excrement on the headboard and no idea what it was . To be honest i dont want to know . The paint was flaking off the walls. There was damp everywhere . The door knob came off in our hands everytime we closed the door . This was reported to reception. The shower tray filled up with water everytime we had a shower and took a very long time to drain. So we could only have literally a 2 min shower. The only good thing we have to say about this hotel is the location. Its literally in the middle of everything. We will definitely not be returning to this hotel and we are very disappointed with what we got for the price we paid.

Clean enough for what you pay in your room however lifts turn of after a certain time and when you come back in at 2am to walk upto the 5th floor in heels is a struggle. Staff all lovely

Very good value for money. Ideal location. Staff helpful and pleasant. Currently got renovation works in progress. Room basic but ideal. Clean . Shower clean . TV in room and a safe. Not suitable for people with limited mobility.
