Upon arrival, our cabin seemed to be ok. The more time we spent there the less ok it became.
The reason we chose this specific location was it had all of the amenities we were looking for, to enjoy our weekend getaway.
A few thing specifically were the outdoor hot tub, the indoor fireplace and bedroom TV.
To our disappointment the fireplace in the living room did not work and when we emailed to let them know, we were told that they were aware and needed a part. (FALSE ADVERTISEMENT).
Also to our disappointment the hot tub, never reached the temperature and needed water added to it each day due to a leak from the back that was not made known to us. (FALSE ADVERSEMENT).
In addition the bedroom tv remotes didn’t work even after changing batteries, in which should have been checked prior to check in.
Last and not least checkout being 11:00 am on Sunday our trip had to be cut short due to a power outage that happened at 8:00 am. We had to pack up and leave without being able to enjoy the rest of our morning. We had planned a nice breakfast that required cooking and needless to say couldn’t be done. As well as one couple driving to Virginia from there and not being able to shower.
When we contacted the owner we were first told we would get half of our cleaning fee credited? Upon continuous findings and disappointment we said he would refund the CLEANING fee in full. FAR from fair due to not being able to use the two main things we wanted.
