A Disastrous Stay I wish I could give zero stars for my stay at Ark Hotel, as it was undoubtedly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, the visit was riddled with disappointment and frustration. Firstly, the room lacked a basic amenity – the TV remote was missing, which meant I couldn’t even use the television properly. On top of that, I was not informed beforehand about the lack of robes and slippers for using the sauna and pool facilities. This is a glaring omission that demonstrates poor communication and a lack of care for guest comfort. To make matters worse, the property is not a proper hotel but seems to be a residential building passed off as one. This is highly misleading and adds to the discomfort of the entire experience. The staff were absolutely horrible – unhelpful, rude, and unprofessional. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority here. Honestly, I regret ever booking a reservation, and I strongly advise others to avoid this so-called hotel at all costs. If I can claim compensation, I absolutely will, as this stay was a waste of time, money, and energy. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else. This place is an utter disaster.

Everything was excellent, but I was disappointed they turned the beautiful view beside the pool to a studio instead. It was gorgeous the way it was. Everything else was a 10

Very disappointing stay

The positives - comfy bed and pillows and friendly reception team. The not so good - smell of drains in the very very tiny bathroom. Someone else’s hair in the shower plug on arrival. Limescale and dust around the outside of shower. Noisy fridge that had to be turned off to sleep. No air con and even with snow falling in London far too hot. TV did not work but helpful receptionist explained the connections are all loose so came and jiggled with it. Loose plug on the wall. I could deal with the DLR noise but some may not. Free WiFi but it was immediately intercepted by scammers so be careful.

Absolutely the worst. Do not come here at. Matter a fact don’t even use hotels.com because they are just as worthless. Picture are incredibly deceitful. I had booked a three night stay and as soon as I walked in it was horrid. Nevermind the small space, the bugs and gnats in the shower were enough to raise concerns to front desk. The not so helpful and rude agent looked at us as if we were stupid and did not want to switch us rooms but ultimately did. Then this one had stains on the bed! Disgusting! I booked the Hilton plaza the next day. Hotels.com did absolutely nothing when I raised my concerns and “followed up with the hotel” after nearly a month of no contact I emailed them to see what was happening and they replied they would get back to me within 48 hours. I received that message 3 times. So an additional week for them to tell me they would not refund me due to their policy. My recommendation is never to go to this property and to book directly at the hotel you want to stay at. You get rewards and don’t have to deal with hotels.com incompetent customer service

Yuck Premium Studio more a bedroom with defunct ki

We arrived at 10pm. Our room wasn’t ready or at least that’s what the first receptionist told us. 40 minutes later and another receptionist/manager said that was just the computer not being updated so about as useful as a chocolate tea pot which wasn’t provided in the room in case you were wondering. Neither were any of the utensils shown in the lovely photo they show as advertising. I could have done without the chopping board as I wasn’t expecting to host a dinner party but how is anyone going to do anything without a knife folk or plate and with what looked like an induction hob you need specialist pans. Nothing is provided. The single tea bag for a couple staying 2 nights was a nice touch. But a bed that is crammed in on 3 sides makes it very difficult for someone who has to get up in the night not to disturb their partner. Also if you are going to have a bedside light, why put the switch by the main door? Finally, the condition the paintwork was awful (those bits that weren’t missing completely), the ceiling looked like it had some salt ingress caused by damp (although no idea how or what actually caused it) and the curtains were dirty and torn. Other than that it was fine - a place for the younger crowd I feel
