Good Value
A good hotel that was fairly new and very clean and modern. Cleverly designed but small room. Lots of features to make the small room comfortable. A little bit like a European hotel. Very helpful staff and decent breakfast choices.

Room 406: This is the area you want to stay in if you're staying in Macon. There's several hotels on this road and this is your best bet as far as safety goes. Customer service has been great. Extremely close to I-75. As for Avid, I had a great experience. Check-in was easy, there was a hiccup with the room and house keeping took care of it right away, which was amazing. I love the open space in the room. It's not cramped like other hotels. The bed is comfortable, bathroom and room is huge. The only thing is the TV sometimes shuts off for no reason, no microwave, and the shades do not block all the light. Water pressure and hot water in the shower was good. Not cozy, so sleep was so so. Other than that, Avid was a good choice and great value

When checking in the lady at the desk couldn’t find my reservation. She did eventually find it, but it was a 15-20 minute delay. She realized someone earlier that day checked in someone else with a similar name, into my reservation. She had to switch our rooms, but she did get everything sorted and we got into our room and everything was great!

We had stayed in a different Avid before and were not happy so wanted to give this one a chance. It took 4 trips down to the lobby to get two room keys that worked. There was also trouble with our incidentals fee. The desk clerk was so polite and tried so hard, but you could tell he was new and probably not trained as well as he should be. Hotel's fault! IOther than that the stay was good.

This place was mostly clean and tidy. Felt new and fresh. Some small details could have been improved to make it perfect - ran out of towels at the pool, no soap in the public men's bathroom, hand sanitizer stations did not work, food area for breakfast ran low on supplies and staff did not keep up with demand and trash piled up in trash cans.

Our stay at Avid was great. The room was cute, clean and cozy. The bathroom was nice as well. The front desk staff is super friendly. I’ll definitely stay here again!!

Needs better cleaning
The staff was very nice but the room was not clean. The shower had brown residue that drained as you took a shower. The second day i stayed i noticed white powder under the air conditioner, which im not sure what it was. I also saw sticky marks on the floor. The entire hotel smelled of a weird cleaning solution. You couldn't smell it in the room. The bed was comfortable. I love that they used dove products by the sink and in the shower.

Alisha the lady at the desk was the most pleasant , friendliest , went out of her way to help , I stay in a lot of hotels due to business and I have to say this is my favorite spot , the coffee was amazing as well , all the neat updated features !!
