First I will say that Selina was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. That made us feel very welcome, even though we have never met in person.
We found the bright and open house very comfortable for our family which included my two sons, their wives and their young children. We spent our days at my brother's house in Rehoboth and enjoyed breakfast in the large Lilly Pad kitchen. We returned at bed time and went right to sleep. We loved the neighborhood for a walk in the morning.
The back yard was fantastic and my three grandchildren, 6, 7 and 9 had a terrific time running around while the rest of us were getting ready for the day. We brought two dogs and very much appreciated the entirely fenced yard so we knew the dogs and children were safe from the street.
We found the kitchen very functional with a large, attractive and useful selection of dishes and glassware, all in excellent condition, as well as typical cookware, also in excellent condition, for the little cooking we did. To me, this shows appreciation for the guests. The appliances were mostly brand new other than the dishwasher and microwave. Both functioned well, though the dishwasher door needs repair.
We appreciated the laundry room and separate wash tub.
We loved the back porch as an extra place for the children to play games.
One of my sons lives in England and the ensuite room was perfect for them as they are less used to sharing space with the rest of us who see each other all the time! There was adequate space in that room to set up the two high-quality cots for their children, 6 and 9, and they had privacy as a family and a comfortable room for sleep.
The second bedroom has a double size bunk bed. Honestly, this was impractical for a family of three as one of the adults was unable to easily get out of bed during the night without crawling over the other. I don't see how four people could comfortably share this room. My son ended up sleeping on the couch (I brought extra linens, expecting this possibility) I'd recommend two twin size bunk beds for this room, instead.
I slept in the third bedroom. The bed was very comfortable.
I would suggest Selina place dressers in all of the bedrooms as there was no place to unpack our clothes nor surface to lay personal items on. I know some people are good at living out of a suitcase, but we are not! Where possible, some additional nightstands would be good, too.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Lilly Pad. Thank you
