This property did not measure up to VBRO standards. First of all, the road to the cabin from the park was closed and we found out it was closed at the time we made the reservation, with no notice from the host. The Rd 245 route was 5 miles, the detour was over an hour drive on very slow going curvy roads in the wilderness. When we arrived we noticed the outdoor electrical power box was completely open to the elements. My husband, who worked with these boxes wondered how it even continued to work. The wood burner stove had an out of order sign, and there were 2 space heaters provided. I saw no smoke detector. Things appeared to be generally clean. There was no wifi, no tv reception, but a TV and DVD player were provided. However there was no remote to fully control all options on the DVD player. When I washed some plastic flatware we had with us, I suddenly found water running out on the bathroom floor. I discovered there was a bucket under the sink drainpipe and the water seemed to go directly into the bucket. There was no real kitchen with sink and stove top. The saving grace was the grill and bar next door. The sweet young lady serving as bartender was extremely helpful and cheerful!
Oh also we killed a big black beetle in the cabin and found another one in my shoe in the morning when I put my foot in the shoe. I do not believe this cabin was up to VRBO Standards.
