The place is very nice. It’s a terrific space, well furnished, and well located. Hopefully, our 'issues' will be resolved by the time this review is posted. Upon our arrival, we encountered the following problems:
The pots and pans were filthy with baked-on food and grime, and the frying pans were too warped to use. There was no dish soap, sponges, foil, or other kitchen essentials. We had to buy a frying pan, a pot, soap, sponges, and other essentials from a local hardware store. Later, the host provided a set of pots and pans.
There were hundreds (not an exaggeration) of dead bugs on every windowsill, ledge, in front of the doors, light fixtures, etc. We crunched on them when we entered. The host mentioned it’s elm bug season, which is understandable, but they should have been vacuumed up before our arrival. We didn’t notice these bugs anywhere else in town, so it seems localized to this home.
If not for these issues, it would be a 5-star rating.
