The house and its location were very nice. We felt safe and comfortable, especially downstairs with the flow of the dining room, kitchen and living room. If you like to cook the kitchen is sparsely equipped (pots, pans, cooking utensils-wise), but we made it work.
It was nice to have 6 bedrooms and everyone slept comfortably but in many ways, I feel like our arrival and having the house ready for us was not a priority to the renter. The yard had not been mowed (grass was 7-8" high)--the bushes leading up the pathway from the parking area to the main door were overgrown to the point where you had to step into the grass to carry things in. My husband and I stayed in the basement bedroom. When we opened the slider the backyard had not been mowed either and there were two loose tarps, an uncoiled hose, and a large deflated kiddie pool to our left and right...I never stepped outside. The pool was uncovered but dirty so that was a disappointment as well since it was quite hot when we were there. Also, the deck off the kitchen area is nice but it needs some love. We did not go out barefoot for fear of getting splinters.
I would guess the renter does not live close by and does not keep an eye on true upkeep and maintenance. He was responsive once we got to the house, but impossible to get a hold of before. It is a nice house in a pretty area, but It made me sad that the outdoor spaces advertised weren't cared for and ready for us to be drawn to relax in.
