If you dream of staying in an old and characterful cottage in the Cotswolds, this cottage will fit the bill. It is well located, an easy five minute walk from the center of Moreton-in-Marsh and ten minutes from the train station. The area is very quiet so great for sleeping. The cottage is as pictured. The loveseat and side chair were really comfortable, which is not always the case with rentals. The kitchen is tiny, but had everything we needed. The powder room on the first floor was a bonus. As with old homes, there are some quirks. The staircase is narrow and curves. It wouldnât work for someone who is mobility challenged. However, I did not find it to be any problem at all. There is a railing and if you go slowly, itâs no big deal. The floor in the main bedroom really creaks, so there is no tiptoeing around someone who is sleeping. The staircase to the second bedroom is also narrow, but not a problem. That bedroom has slanted ceilings, but perfect for children. Or short adults! The only thing I would suggest is that they leave some general instructions in the cottage. There was a sign on the back door about what garbage goes in what container outside. But there was nothing about when garbage is picked up. When we heard the garbage truck come around one morning, we felt bad that we had not put our garbage out. Fortunately, my husband was able to figure out how all the appliances and heat worked. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.
