Poor communication
We never got to stay at this rental. We arrived, checked in and tried to get into the rental only to find that the floor it was on was closed for maintenance. The resort front desk manager told us that floors 6 & 7 were closed to all guests. All rental management companies had been sent not one but two emails regarding it. Janet finally responded back to my text and tried to relocate us to a totally different place that was not in a 4 star resort and in downtown Myrtle Beach. We are two grown middle aged women and wanted a quiet luxurious place, not amongst college spring break kids! We finally told Janet we needed her to call us, not text that way we could straighten it out. She apologized for the situation and said she missed those emails. We stated we would be staying at the Marina Inn and the manager said to call the front desk and speak to him. Janet stated she called but both the manager and the woman at the desk did not receive a call. In the meantime, the manager reserved us a room and matched the price. Janet did refund our money in a very short time frame which was great. It was a very frustrating situation. We are lucky the resort has amazing people working there. The Marina Inn will have our repeat business but we will not be renting through Ocean One Vacations, a LAIO investment.
