The hotel seems to be tired. Need some updating. The fire alarm going off at 11 o’clock at night did not help. But the fact that the staff didn’t know where the control room was not great. Elevators were down the next morning, so we had to walk six floors to check out. The ‘dog area’ was a mess.

We have been staying in this hotel 1-3 times a year for 8 years. The facility has gone down hill a lot in the last 3 years. Wallpaper falling off the walls, broken directional signage in the hallways is broken, and a general run down feel. The breakfast they advertise as hot, but it is terrible! There has not been enough for the guests and what has been provided was not good. We choose to eat at a Waffle House across the street. The ability to get 'room service' to 'thoughtfully sources food" from the hotel kitchen is advertised on signage, but that has not been available for years, going back to 2020 and covid. We do like the layout of the rooms in the Hyatt Place hotels. Each room is setup so the bedroom is separated form the living room, etc. This is almost like a studio apartment which we like. We also love this location in Brentwood. Our hope is that this property receives some much needed TLC

I had pre booked through Expedia; the staff onsite and the GM over the phone could not locate our booking. The GM stated she "saw it on their Expedia portal, but it blocked her". After forty minutes of hassle to just get a room, we were told they would match the Expedia pricing and the same room style, which was necessary as we had 3 adults and 3 children. We got into the same style room, but the next morning when still trying to work with staff to find my booking, they said they couldn't match my price, "but got close". They also attempted to charge $8 per day for parking and stated that the complimentary breakfast and coffee should "make up for the different". They still did not contact Expedia to tell them the issue to ensure I am not charged twice, as they said they would during the check in debacle. There is a bar behind the check in desk and upon walking in, there was 12 highly intoxicated and boisterous, obnoxiously vulgar people that staff could not get control of. The people in rooms can be heard all the way down the hallways and the guests next to us were extremely roudy all throughout the night. Horrible experience with dishonest authenticity and pricing scams. Will not stay at another Hyatt again.

During my 4 day stay at Hyatt Place Brentwood I never saw any cleaning service and my room was never cleaned. There were pubic hairs on the walls of the shower and an old stale french fry under the edge of the bed. The vending and ice machine was out of order. The cleanliness of the facility once you leave the lobby is very poor. The staff I did encounter was very friendly.

The restaurant is closed because they ran out of food. What?!?! The breakfast was not good at all. Only one type of cereal, no variation in bread, no yogurt and very limited fruit. Most ice machines were broken too. Rooms are oversized, which is nice.

I’ve stayed at other Hyatt’s that have been better taken care of. This one was not that clean. Shower had mold in it, hallways smelled dirty and had carpet appeared to be coming loose and had lumps in it by the elevator that present tripping hazards, and ice machines not working. Will not stay here again.
